Had a listen, and I really like the music, but the vocals didn't do much for me at all. The lead guitar stuff sounds REALLY good, you did a great job there.

There have been so many people coming and going from GN'R over the years, getting a solidified 'group' shot would be quite difficult... hehehe
This is pretty big news though - an actual official release of new music from GN'R.
It's a smart move to aim at all the young gamer kiddies too. Definitely good exposure for them.
I find it funny though, a few years ago I would've been REALLY excited about news like this, but now I'm just like yeah, whatever...

That was quick, I was just on there about 20 minutes ago to see if the official site had any mention of it and there was nothing.
Looks like wheels are finally in motion. Can't say I'm all that excited though really.

Oh, and this Spacehog guy is fucking rubbish.

I still think VR should go with John Corabi and put out a killer bluesy heavy rock album.

I'll be sure to check it out, I always like to support good Aussie rock!
What do you guys sound like anyway?

#3978 Re: The Sunset Strip » METALLICA Discussion » 903 weeks ago
It is make or break.
I don't see how it's make or break now anymore than it was previously.
They released what was considered their worst album (St Anger) and they still went on to play sell out tours all over the world. Hell, even the last few years with no new album out they still pull a huge crowd. Metallica don't need to release anything and they'll still be popular.
Do you honestly believe that if the new album will make or break whether Metallica will continue to be popular? These guys are music legends, and the first 4 (or 5 if you count Black) albums have solidified them as such.

I'm glad I'm not a fan of this band. Must be painful. What I saw on stage some weeks ago was way over the hill. How can Master Of Puppets sound so stale?
Really?
The recent live footage I've seen of the band, they haven't sounded so tight in years like they do now, and the new clips I've heard of the new album is also the most promising music I've heard from them in years as well.

Great to hear Slash ripping through those songs, shame Perry cut Slash off where the first solo was supposed to come in in Knockin. Teddy has a great voice too, sounded just like Lenny!
