#61 Re: The Sunset Strip » The Star Wars Thread *NO SPOILERS ALLOWED!* » 636 weeks ago
going to Star Wars Identities this weekend in Ottawa, should be cool
There was one in Minnesota a few year back that I got to go to, really fun! Just seeing the exact costumes and props used in movies we grew up with is an incredible thing. If it ever came back to MN, I'd go again!
Have Fun!

Anyone wanna quickly recap what happened to Russ for me? I don't feel like reading 18 pages of the "duke it out" thread

Even though Axl sounded better than he normally does during the first show after time off, he still wasn't very good. Sounded winded and was still frequently using the Mickey Mouse voice in the YouTube vids I've seen

Axl was hanging with Jonah Hill and Leonardo Dicaprio in NYC last week, rumored to have said that he wants to buy a tiger

I listen to at least a couple GnR songs on a daily basis, and it's at the point where it's getting worn out. So here's my idea of the Guns N' Roses Lockout Challenge
I will lockout ALL GnR music until the next album is released, this includes locking out studio, live, and unreleased material. So far here's what I got for pros and cons to this idea
Pros:
-takes out my favorite band on my iPod, therefore allowing more time to expand my musical horizons
-will make listening to the GnR albums once the lockout is over very entertaining, my own Guns N' Roses Christmas!
Cons:
- Dont get to listen to Guns N' Roses (duh)
- Next album could take another 5 years...or more!
Love to hear what you think, any more pros/cons, and if you would accept the "GnR Lockout Challenge"

I enjoy listening to Kid Rock
Unfortunately many have preconceived notions of him (Pamela Anderson marriage, white trash style, etc.), but if you can get past that, I think a lot more people would enjoy his music. It's not the next Rolling Stones, but it's worth a listen

Anyone else following the drama of the AL East. The standings are upside down compared to preseason expectations.
A little too early in the year to be going standings stalking in my opinion, time will definetely separate the legit contenders. Give it another month and then standings get interesting for me

I prefer that over The Patriots constant moving down. I'd rather get three star players over five or six "good" players who may last a season. And you guys got stars.
Exactly!
All three were considered steals, especially Floyd. Rhodes will fill in nicely since Winfield left. Patterson is a high risk/high reward guy, many are already comparing him to Randy Moss, and sure enough, Patterson will wear Moss' #84
