Playbacks of all the 'Chinese leftovers' will take place every Sunday, hosted by the most reverend W Axl Rose at the Church of Guns n' Roses. Church goers will be asked for donations after the weekly sermon (rant). Guns n' Roses scented candles and will of course be on sale at the church.

Especially next to Spaghetti Incident!
I suspect a couple of tracks are being held back to give the next album a head start, if that's the plan.

All could publically announce his retirement (probably by press release) and fan boards would still be speculating that it was a ploy to take the pressure off whilst he secretly wrote and recorded his next triology!

This is an actual comment from GNR Reddit, on the possibility of The General getting a vinyl only release: "Why are people acting like they own the song and / or the song should be free? It has been in the making for yeeears, so go figure the pricetag. If they're calling it a day, please say. Don't leave the fan base hanging for years thinking they might get a new album.

My interpretation of what Axl was saying wasn't about the lyrics, it was more about how the group manages and organises itself. I can't recall many iron maiden lyrics about politics specifically. It's mostly history.
And if I was to vote based on how well each band is run....well I think there is no comparison. Not sure what beef Axl had with Maiden but clearly something had him riled at the time. Or he was just being controversial for the sake of it
