Slash (that Slash) burned ex-bandmate Axl Rose in an interview, report Rush & Molloy, when he said that the next Velvet Revolver album would be done after a "quick turnaround" -- because Axl, of course, has been working on his magnum opus, "Chinese Democracy," for over a decade. The two haven't spoken for even longer than that.

I dunno I wouldn't take Slash talking about a "quick turnaround" to be a dig at Axl.  I think the person writing this is reaching here, I'd love to see the interview to see how it was said.

Words are often twisted. I honestly believe Slash wishes Axl all the best.
Will VR have another CD out before Chinese Democracy,it's possible.
But lets see if there is a VR by the end of the year.

No.

The Project has speculation whirling around it again. Sebastian Bach has been let go from his title roll in the Jesus Christ Superstar tour. To his credit, Sebastian was almost immediately forthcoming about the reasons and his future plans in a statement on his official web site, SebastianBach.com. An artistic difference led to Sebastian's dismissal; Sebastian felt the need to keep a big rock number in the show, and the producers wanted it out. Sebastian is an avowed rocker, and he has a number of plans for pursuing that course. The Project speculation centers on these words from Baz:

"All of this has made me realize that it is time for me to follow my heart & create some brand new original rock & roll that will completely blow you away . I have been working with one of the biggest bands in the world & will now persue[sic] that collaboration with full force. "

Baz fans report that they can't remember a band like that except possibly the future success of The Project. It does sound as if Baz is going to pursue the vocalist position with all he's got. He lists other personal recordings he wants to make, too.

And an interesting thing by Slash, why Bach wasn't chosen as their lead singer.

SLASH was asked why Sebastian Bach was not selected; and SLASH replied that Sebastian has a personality so charismatic that he could have destroyed the rest of the band.

SEBASTIAN BACH: Not Waiting Around For SLASH And Co. - Jan. 8, 2003

In a brand new interview with Asheville Citizen-Times, former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach reiterated his desire to join the new band formed by ex-GUNS N' ROSES members Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, but expressed his concern that the two parties' conflicting schedules may ultimately make such a union impossible.

"We're talking about getting together," he said. "But I'm busy until July. Some people take so long to do something. I'm not like that. You can't get me off the stage."

21 SLASH ITCHING TO START NEW VELVET REVOLVER DISC:

January 23, 2008

Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash says the group is planning a significantly shorter turnaround for its third album.

The Los Angeles rockers plan to start working in earnest on the follow-up to last year's "Libertad" in April, almost immediately after they finish a tour that starts Thursday in Chicago and includes dates in North America, Australia and Europe.

"That's the big thing right now," Slash says. "I'm really jazzed about doing it. I've been working on new ideas, and we've had a couple times where the guys all got together and worked on some stuff. I'm itching to see what this third record's gonna be, 'cause I think it's gonna be ... awesome, and I think we don't necessarily need to spend two years on the road like we did last time (for 2004's 'Contraband')."

No producer has been chosen for the project, but Slash says he favors "Libertad" collaborator Brendan O'Brien. And while the Velvet Revolver album is on the front-burner, Slash still wants to move forward on a solo album, which he says will feature a roster of guest vocalists.

I have read a few people say that it was Slash who said they sounded like Skid Row.
I even read it on Wikki, but if I recall  correctly it was Duff. 2 seconds I will find it.

Slash said it in his autobiography too, I assume that's what people are referring to.

Ok I have not read that, but it makes sense now.
