They all get my respect. I don't give a shit what their opinion is on other people. They are all members of my favorite band and that is enough to get my respect.

It's more of an indictment against the rest of the guys that it is a plug for Ron. Ron seems like a good guy who respects the old band. That by itself is good enough for me compared to the others.
What makes you think the other guys don't respect the old band?
Although I think Ron's a great guy and a great player, I think it's easier for him to come off as respectful because he doesn't have a lot of stock in CD. Guys like Robin and Tommy and Brain have spent years ont his material, and their 'disrespect' may just be frustration over a lack of identity.
I haven't seen anyone in the band disrespect anyone who used to be in the band aside from Tommy making comments about Buckethead.

what pisses me off about these things is how no one at at that other place considers these performances a shameless punt on their gnr fame in order to pull more seats at these gigs and sell records.....yet when slash mentions gnr or axl rose in an interview...he is using gnr to promote himself and his new band....
nonsense....
the difference: one of the guys in actually in the band right now and the other one was way over a decade ago.

STP is a good band from their era with some great songs. But Weiland pales in comparison to other guys from his era like Layne Staley, Chris Cornell, even Eddie Vedder.

I would think Buckethead is insane.
Sorry, I don't think Slash is that cool anymore. I still love his playing and the songs he created in Gnr, but, to me, he looks cheesy. He looks like he just came off the sunset strip in 1986. Tommy's and Izzy's look is more my style.... it's all personal opinion.

I still don't see whats so great about the guy and I think its just because he is well-spoken and the media has elevated his status to that of a rock star. my gut tells me bad shit would happen if that man becomes president. if he gets the nomination, I am voting for John McCain.
