We didn't get it on Chinese Democracy because it didn't leak in the open. That album was just leaks and some bonus tracks to fill out the disc.

Which is why our best hopes to hear additional music … is more leaks!

We had something like this in the UK a while back. I would imagine most countries have something like it.

Do they know something they are not letting on? Is this in case things escalate with Russia?

Maybe Alice will show up when they get to Phoenix? God knows they need help selling tickets. This is bad:

If anyone else wants to try their hand at cleaning up the cellphone recordings that one might have been run through Audacity using “isolate center” to eliminate speaking voices immediately close to the phone, with that audio then duplicated as a second layer that was run through a Low Pass Filter to bring out the bass.

Not that I would know.

I do love how we are getting a chicken dinner after all.

Great great song!!!

Is not that song property of Tommy? I mean... Could GNR put out that song without Tommy's permission?

They would have to pay him songwriting royalties regardless of whether he is heard on the song itself:

“ Music copyrights are split into two parts. One covers the original sound recording (known as the master rights) and the other covers the composition (known as the publishing rights) which protects the underlying melody and structure of a song. Mechanical royalties are paid in relation to a song's composition.”

Agreed! That was the one song that made NuGNR seem like a real band rather than Axl’s backing band.

Great melody, lyrics, and performances.

Now that we are getting “The General” (Thank you, gentlemen!) it is by far “Oklahoma” because of the events in his life that prompted him to write it.

Get these abstract, mood-setting instrumentals out there to bookend and support the more traditional songs. They are equally amazing.

The instrumental part of the General, like the first two minutes where it's just symphonic yeah it's motion picture worthy.  I was listening to just that part and was like damn this belongs in a movie.

Somebody mentioned a comparison to Estranged (about the General) and it's far too creative/strange (in a good way) that I don't see it.  The entire snippet had a surreal, dream like quality to it.   I can't quite fully describe it.

“Motion picture worthy” is exactly right.

Axl doesn’t need three CDs to accomplish that. Just treat each individual album as an epic story which can be told in short or long pieces of music.

The storage locker CDs are stronger for including jams and interludes.
