This is continuing to be off subject, so I appologize. Could Bumblefoot AND Buckethead co-exist in GNR. Say Robin is gone. Could Bucket come in and play lead or are the 2 too similar?

I liked both VR albums, although I thought Contraband was much better than Libertad. But I prefer these leaks way more than either of those albums or a best of VR album for that matter. It's all a matter of opinion though. We could argue who's better till we're blue in the face. The only thing that's certain is we actually got to hear 2 albums from VR while we're still waiting to hear an actual release from Axl and co.

I think it's definitely "a day". That makes a lot more sense than "the day" or "today". I still don't hear prostitute or prosecute though. I don't know what the hell he says there.

If the lyrics in the "new song lyrics" thead are correct this song HAS to be prostitute.
I mean "Love That You've Crippled For Fortune And Fame" and "Ask Yourself, What I Would Do
To Prostitute, Myself, To Live With Fortune And Shame" - pretty much seals the deal that the song is prostitute to me.Then again...i guess a lot of the leaks have simialr themes.
Also...when he says "to prostitute myself" it really doesn't sound liek the word prostitute to me. Like the metre and timing of the word fits 100% with that...but it really sounds like theres sounds that arn't in that word - like a "down" style word...but then again..axl often pronounces things a bit differently than i'd expect...like how he says "chains" in better.
I fucking love this song now anyway. It's amazing. Simple yet beautiful.
Yeah I'm with you, that doesn't sound like "prostitute" to me either. Sounds like we're reaching there. Song is growing on me, as they all do. But it's not there yet.

I am really digging this song. I thought it was kind of cheesy with the intro the first time around, but it has grown on me quick. Quite different from anything any faction of GNR has ever done, and I love it.

And by the way, I really don't hear much of a difference in the "new" versions of the old leaks. I don't have an ear for little differences but they sound as good as ever to me.

Where the hell do these leaks come from anyway? The ones from a couple years ago came from some guy in Portugal or something right?
Anyhow, listening to TWAT right now. That outro guitar solo is F'ing killer. Stands up to anything the original lineup (Slash) ever did, in my opinion.

I'm really digging "If The World" out of the 3 new ones. It's so different from anything I've heard from any GNR lineup, but I think I like it. "Rhiad" is growing on me, wasn't a fan of the live version. The other song starts out strong but doesn't do it for me the whole way through. And I always liked the other leaks.
All I know is that by the time CD is actually released we're all gonna have like 9 different versions of the album with all the various leaks and such.
#6979 Re: Guns N' Roses » Questions about the leaks. » 930 weeks ago
Yeah I really don't know if this helps, hurts, or does nothing for the release. On the one hand I could see Axl getting pissed and only wanting to release an album of mostly fresh material. Then again, he's played 7 unreleased new songs on his own and he'd have to expect in this day and age that the songs are gonna leak one way or another.

I never liked the song live, and after the first listen to this rendition I wasn't too impressed either. However, after 6 listens later it's growing on me.
