Yeah, I think GB is decent, has as good as a chance as anyone in the NFC to getting to the SB. The next 4 weeks will make or break ALOT of teams. Oct/Nov is great football. & college gets good too! Man I love football season. And chicken wings!

As for GB & Dallas, while over hyped, right now they are among the better teams (myb not the best) in the NFC. After all, as Bill Parcells always says "You are what your record says you are."

It's all fake to keep them in the headlines. Lindsay, Paris & Britney have the best publicists in town. There's no such thing as bad publicity, so anything to keep these girls in the headlines generates revenue on some level (photo shoots for mag covers, TMZ exclusives, parties etc). Whatever happened to the girls from American Pie, or Clueless, or Jessica & Ashlee Simpson, they're close to B-list celebreties now because they've been out of the headlines & movies for so long. These girls (Lohan, Britney, Paris) can get paid $20,000+ to make appearances at clubs in LA & Vegas. They ain't broke.

Yeah, even though it's 2 small market teams I'd prefer to see this over the Red Sox. I'm sick of them & their 86 years or whatever. Shut up, they won it already. It's a clean slate. Glad to see Cleveland whooping 'em.

This WS might be good, with 2 high powered offenses going at it. Colorado is on fire!!

I think it's going to be up & down all year James. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon.

Here's what I think happened Intercourse. Their target audience is too small as far as cd--buying. High School kids buy rap & hip-hop albums, college kids listen to indie music, find bands on myspace, and download singles onto their iPod. So already, they're aiming for the 25-40 crowd. Mostly men too, so slice off another half of the cd buying audience. This age group probably buys a significantly less amount of albums than the younger crowd. I think back to high school, it wouldn't surprise me if out of all the kids I knew well, I was the only one who bought Libertad. Back in the day, we all owned AFD.

As Neemo said, people spend their money in other ways, rent, mortgage, cars, kids, nights out, vacations etc..  Money becomes tighter even though you make alot more. Wierd I guess, but that's the way it is. Anyway, mkt'g & promo was poor for this, no radio interviews/jams when they were in my city. I'm not positive but I don't recall any big RS coverage. Poor choice in fist single.

Yeah I heard about that SB overseas on the radio. Horrible idea. A. screws over American fans who'd like to go support their team, B. The time difference, they'd have to start at like 10pm there to be 6pm on the East Coast. C. It's just stupid, keep it in America.

I've have heard about the 17th game idea (not sure anyone posted it). The NFL would take away 1 pre-season game, then teams would play 1 game overseas (8 home, 8 away, 1 overseas/nuetral). I think after that game they have their bye week.  I like that idea better than the SB overseas. It'd be cool if each team was designated it's country (England, Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia, Japan etc).

With shows and a target audience like The Hills, Laguna Beach etc MTV has little desire for GnR.  There isn't much demand from a audience of big sunglassed, flip-flop youth.  MTV alone plays very little video's & their sister channels mostly leaves for rap. VH1 classic was mentioned, and Fuse. That isn't going to sell 2 million records.

To be fair, I think the OP was asking will GnR's first album have alot of sales out of curiousity, then the second one slip due to lessened interest. I think we all know it's useless right now to talk about GnR's 2nd album, when CD isn't in sight.  If CD ever comes out, I think it'd sell similar to Linkin Parks last release sales-wise. I don't know exactly what it sold but I'd guess CD about 500,000-800,000. Maybe 1 mil.

I don't think changing the statistics for Gold, Platinum etc will be done. Instead tracking of (legal) downloads will be kept (1 million downloads etc)

Is that right?? I would have never guessed that.

Yeah, I have to admit I thought the Giants would tank it this year. A lame duck coach, young QB, veterans who are outspoken. It really could have gone either way. But they all stepped it up this year & fight. Also credit goes out to the coach for loosening it up a little this year & joking around with the players a little more. Not many people adapt like that, I always pictured Coughlin as pretty stubborn & a "My way or the Highway" type of guy.

How about Adrian Peterson for Minnesota?? That guys a horse right now. 20 carries for 220 yards? Him & Hestor were going at it yesterday. Peterson's gonna run away with the rookie of the year award if he keeps this up, no doubt.

Is Calvin Johnson still playing, he got hurt against PHI & I haven't heard his name since, not sure if he's still injured.
