I've given up on my hopes of the grenade and red hand covers ever getting an official release, but I still dream of finding the promo copies some day!

The "Oh My God" instrumental is the soundtrack version with the vocals edited out. This is possible through what's called "Out of Phase stereo": You remove what is heard simultaneously in the left and right channels, leaving only what is panned far left and far right.
Axl's vocals are mixed dead center, which makes it possible to strip down the arrangement.

The Neurotic Outsiders album is great fun from start to finish. The timing was bad: Steve went back to the Sex Pistols and that was the end of the project, but the CD captures the fun of their live shows, and is really inexpensive to buy.

Did anyone else see him on the 2002 tour? I am truly grateful to have witnessed him in GNR. Aside from Axl, he was the most commanding presence, even when he wasn't moving because you couldn't guess what he might do next!

The final arrangements were too busy, compared to the demos, which had quiet spots that allowed the music to breathe. I still bought a bunch of copies of the CD and gave them to people as Christmas presents, just because I was so glad that the record even existed, and the ideas in it are spectacular, but I wish it had come out a few years earlier, before it became so dense with instrumentation.

I hope we'll get a chapter or two about Neurotic Boy Outsiders/Neurotic Outsiders. I saw them in concert back in 1996. It was a thrill to hear Matt and Duff in a club! It was an interesting project, sort of a transition between GNR and Velvet Revolver.

I don't expect new music to be released, but I do expect we'll have confirmation that the band is recording again!
