I see the Fortus daisychain is still going strong.. Getting sloppy by now. Just the way they like it..

Other than the RIR 2001 incident during It's So Easy, alot of the allegations in the mid 2000's were nonsense. I honestly think the RIR thing was a stunt. There have been plenty of people in Slash shirts/hats at shows wearing them despite allegations people were kicked out of every show for wearing them.

That guys away in the nosebleeds axl couldn't see him from the stage.

Are they still allegations if they actually happened?

I totally believe it's possible Axl had a word with the handlers and had the sign removed. It's not that big a leap is it?! The slightest provocation can set him on edge. Hell the slightest provocation can set some of you on edge..

It's a bigger leap to give him the benefit of the doubt which a lot of you are in a rush to do, given there is recorded history of similar events.. I bet he did it.. wink

Because other than a vague "maybe we'll get to it one day" there doesn't seem to be any direct plans for songwriting.

Seems the current plan is to do these USA dates then a massive world tour of the same.

Songwriting excluded, if the game is just rendering the old songs then fortus is the better player. Izzy doesn't have a distinctive rhythm sound - so it's not like how odd sounded replacing slash with Robin/DJ, or Axl with Myles. Basically anyone can play the backing chords. But fortus does it prettier with all the additional voicings he uses - and he can also trade leads with Slash better than Izzy can chops wise.

oh monkey, not you too..

it's izzy fuckin stradlin you're talking about here. wise the fuckin bap. who the fuck have you been listening to the last 30-odd goddamn years?
let me give you a clue, it's not richard fortus.
he does it prettier than izzy.. fuck me..

No it was always likely to be the woman that we have now.
The other woman was just a challenger, but in reality she was just a token candidate, actually a bit of politicking to thwart other candidates. The whole thing was a sham & a farce to ensure the quick secession of who we have to "stabilise" things. It's all just a game to these people.

It should be noted the new PM hasn't been elected by a general election, but put in place by her party.

How can someone like this for example on TV talking about what's best for the people keep getting elected as a MP: https://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/24926 … rset/votes

Oh and here's our new PM for reference:

Rees-Mogg is a right wing nut. So is May. Sickening tho how close Eagle is to her voting record. What a fucking sorry state. Just give us full devolution & let us fuck it up ourselves! We've plenty of morons over here too, just not as much money to lobby the politicians..

Eagle is a bitch. The corporate choice. Corbyn's the guy. Not a strong man, and a socialist, so I don't think he'd have many fans on here!
But yea the Blairites/neo liberals of the Labour Party have a vendetta against him that's poisoned the well & done as near as much damage as Cameron/Gideon & May. They've sins to answer for that will go unpunished.
Corbyn might have some out there notions but he's smart enough to know there's some battles he shouldn't fight. I was very disappointed with him on the referendum but by and large I agree with him on a lot of things. He's far more dignified than the shower that's gunning for him that's for fuckin sure.

Eagle was pro-Iraq war, pro-tuition fees & abstained on the welfare bill. She is a cunt. A cunt that's been bought and paid for, she oughta to be a Tory ffs. https://www.opendemocracy.net/ian-sincl … gela-eagle

It sucks for Izzy but he will never get over the thing about being labeled a flake.

I'm sure he's not bothered. It's just lamentable all these supposed fans, who by rights owe him a huge debit of gratitude, can't pool their half arsed wisdom & come up with some synonyms for him. Every fuckin time they take a crap on one of the guys who built the empire they fall back on the same shitty baseless insult. Flake? He's got balls, & integrity. Which none of these halfwits will ever understand.

If they really want Richard they're welcome to him. Suckers.

I'd love to see Izzy write with the band, but he's not what you want in a full time member when constant touring is the main meal ticket. Guy is a flake, we all know it.

That is such bullshit.

#599 Re: Guns N' Roses » 9/7/16 NISSAN STADIUM, NASHVILLE, TN UNITED STATES » 536 weeks ago

Nah I don't see it myself. Izzy's one of the great rhythm men of rock history. His rightful place is in his band. Fortus is just a hired hand, time to let him go. He's not a vital cog to this 'slick touring machine', take him out and he whole thing stops running?? Meh.

I'm honestly more interested in a Fortus/Slash combo than an Izzy/Slash one at this point. I'm interested to hear what they'd sound like in studio, for one thing. And Fortus has shown loyalty to the band over the last decade and a half; Izzy turned up for a pay cheque on the last few tours and threw a hissy fit when he didn't get a bigger cut on this one.
