I can't read the article because the link in the first post won't work for me. I can't even copy and paste it.

Any other W.A.S.P. fans out there? What are you favorite songs by them? Mine are "Wild Child", "Forever Free", and "Hold Onto To My Heart". Of course, "Animal (F*** like a Beast)" is a great song to play whenever I'm stressed out.

Here's something that happened to my best friend and I on Thanksgiving.
I was visiting relatives and friends that day, and decided to visit my parents grave that night with my best friend. I had no opportunity to do so during the day and live 2 hours away, so visiting is very infrequent for me, hence why I went at night. Anyhow, my friend and I were putting flowers on their grave when something happened that still gives my friend and I the chills. Let me give a little background before telling you what happened, as I think it may be relative to it:
I had just got done visiting my father's sister in a nursing home. I was going to bring her to my sister's house to spend Thanksgiving with us, but she caught a cold and didn't feel well. Her children and grandchildren have nothing to do with her, and because she can't live alone due to the fact that she has a hip problem, she was thrown into this nursing home to be forgotten by all of her kids and grandchildren. My sister, my cousin from my Dad's other sister, and my best friend along with our families are the only ones who care about this woman, and recently (back in May), my sister and I found out about this awful situation. Anyhow, I decided that since she couldn't visit with us for Thanksgiving, we'd bring Thanksgiving to her- so ten of us (my family, my sister and her daughter, my best friend and her daughters) went and visited with her for a couple of hours, bringing her Thanksgiving goodies and good cheer. She said that that day was better than Mother's Day for her.
So, after we left, we went back to my sister's place, had some hor dourves and dessert, then went to the grave. We were there about a couple of minutes, when all of the sudden, both my friend and I heard my father's voice calling my name. Then, the lights went out in the cemetery for a couple of seconds and came back on. Just as I questioned my friend about hearing my Dad call my name, it happened again- he said my name, and the lights went out again.
I think my Dad was just thanking my best friend and I in his own way for caring enough about his little sister to go and visit her. Surely this is breaking his heart seeing watching her being abandoned by her children and grandchildren.
I have many other stories I can share, but this one is the most recent one.
#54 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Slash and Duff have discussed doing a GNR reunion show » 917 weeks ago
I think a reunion will happen but not anytime soon. Eventually Axl is going to "reflect" on his life as will the rest of the GNR of used-to-be. These guys will be pushing 50 soon and if you've noticed, that's when most big bands forget egos and concentrate on one last ride into their legacy. Some it takes a little longer but it usually does happen. I'm sure the money aspect doesn't hurt either. I firmly believe (barring any passings or the like) we will see a reunion...eventually.
I believe this as well, but it's going to take a third party not relative to either side to get the ball rolling. My only conern is that Adler may not be up to such a reunion with his substance abuse problem. I would love to see the original five on tour and make another album together.

What a shame. I really like Adler and think he's one of the best drummers out there along with Bev Bevan of ELO and Mick Tucker of The Sweet.
I hope one day Adler will get his act together. So much talent going to waste over substance abuse.

Oh, goodie! I have two division rivalries I can fight with here every day.
I wish Julien slugged the Habs coaches the other night. That was fun watching them bicker back and forth on the benches.
#58 Re: The Garden » One of my stray cats just got killed » 918 weeks ago
I'm so sorry, sweetie. I know just how attached you get to these little darlings- it is heart breaking every time you lose one. They're just like family to most of us pet owners.
We've lost six cats in three years time. Two were from old age, one disappeared after a snow storm (he was a rescue kitten that we were never able to make into a house cat, unfortunately), and the other two that were rescue kittens both had heart defects- one died at 1 and 1/2 years of age, and his sister was 2 and 3/4 years old- both of them were small cats and had kitten sized hearts that never grew to adult size.
The other one died the day after Labor Day- she had a seizure and died before we could get her to a vet- she was one of three we picked out and brought home from the Humane Society last year the week before Christmas. So strange that my first three cats lived to old age, while the three rescue kittens didn't make it past 3 years and our other one was estimated to be 2 years old.
I was thinking of adopting another one from the Humane Society, but sometimes I wonder if it's worth all the pain of getting attached to them and then losing them. They're like little kids to me and losing them is just heart breaking. I'm sure I'll have a new one soon to keep the other two company, but I need more time to get over her loss- she was just the sweetest and silliest little cat.
Hugs to you, James, and buzzsaw, too.

Were you talking to me? What's BS? If I were to guess, it would be bull shit, but I don't understand where that pertains to myself or my post above.

Buffalo/Montreal rivalry has been in MTL's favor this year
as for peopel swinging sticks and stuff, i cant beleive they keep doing it, they should increase the length of suspensions i guess
Thanks for clarifying. Montreal sucks.

Oh, and Ohlund gets 4 game suspension for breaking Koivu's leg. That was a nasty hack job he performed on Koivu. Players have got to learn to not use their sticks as a weapen- good thing it was his knee he struck and not his head.
