Yeah but Mikka maybe you could share some light... is Slash credited as Slash on his new albums?
Because if Slash is credited as Slash on his new shit... it's a total slight. But I could swear I read something in an interview where Dizzy said there had been rights issues with his name or confusion or something. So when I saw Darren Reed, I assumed it was that. But I thought he was credited as Dizzy Reed in Chinese?
Then again Axl said the liner notes were all fucked up because it was rushed.
Good point, lol. He's credited as "S. Hudson" on both solo albums. Which is strange, cause he was credited as "Slash" on all the GN'R releases. Anyway, in this case I withdraw my previous insinuation about the Axl camp.

I'll say my story....fact is Axl, Izzy and Duff are still friends......fact is a fact...where is the other guy in the discussion?
Just like Slash, Duff and Izzy. So...?
BTW the Axl-izzy and Axl-Duff friendship are reborn/rebuilt friendships. We all know those heated interviews and lawsuits. In these cases they were able to forgive what happened (and what Axl thought that had happened). We also know that Slash would have made peace with Axl (remember the dropped lawsuit and the visit at his house)...but the answer was a bitter psycho's answer.

They used most of the guys real names and it probably depends on if you've legally changed your name or not and not just trademarked it. Buckethead is listed by his real name. That's not a slight, like Azoff did to Axl calling him William Bailey. Anyway, you have to list names a certain way in the credits, etc. That's out of their control. Nothing to see here.
Please... they called Slash Slash in the classic albums' liner notes. What would have changed legally? I'm not saying Axl did this, but it's obvious he hates Slash insanely and his hangers-on know this. Since he doesn't want Slash's name even mentioned in regards of Guns N' Roses, it's more than possible that it's another pathetic attempt on their part to erase Slash from GN'R's history. Comically enough, they promote the new dbd with Slash songs and the setlist is Slash-heavy. But whatever, you need to be bat shit crazy trying to neglect somebody yet playing his songs every night.

The liner notes have Team Brazil's stamp ALL over them. Including referring to Slash as -- "Saul Hudson" -- but referring to Duff as "Duff 'Rose' McKagan" like he's back in the fold.
Are you serious that they don't call Slash Slash in the new release's liner notes, but refer to him as "Saul Hudson"? That'd be fuckin' pathetic.

Yes because ex-grilfriends and enemies are sure to give unbiased accounts of a persons character.
Therefore it's quite fortunate that we have Axl fanboys who haven't even met their God in person, but help to tell the truth to clear things up.

There's a part on the outro solo that Slash is playing something very Bucket-like too, well, like what Bucket plays on the TWAT outro.
Does anyone else hear the similarity?
I don't
But I think one of the riffs is a bit similar to the chorus riff of Sorry.

Some Alice in Chains feel is here as well. I really dig this song, great riff, great vocals, great work by the rhythm section (Todd's playing is Duff-like melodic in places), great atmosphere, but the solo could have been more worked-out. It's still good though.

I'm not pissed off, this is just way more important to you than it is me and I don't have the energy for it, and I've said my peace. This whole debate it useless and kind of silly. My dad can beat up your dad kind of stuff. It wasn't trying to be snide, just if having this fantasy of how things went down is so important to you, SG and D, and I'm being serious, then go ahead and think it. Nothing is going to sway that. It doesn't matter now for any reason, other than turn into pissing contests.

Yet... you're still quoting 20 year old jaded, emotional interviews that leave a lot of what goes on out of the public eye for the sake keeping things private for solidarity, because we know that it's always the case that they're going to be honest with an interviewer during the shit, to push your version of what went down...and I'll even ignore throwing out the barbs. But no, I don't think I will follow your lead.
Had you said the same to Axlin, you'd probably have a point. Not right or wrong, just a valid and sincere opinion. But since you repeatedly have problems only with the non-Axl-party opinions, you shouldn't act like you'd be neutral.
It's also funny that IC posting relevant quotes to back his opinion is pictured as some sort of a pathetic move.

Awesome song, in the vein of Cali. Much, much better than the title track.
All thanks to Gibbo, who taped and uploaded it!

use your illusions all you want...hell will freeze over before Axl brings back Matt. He was insignificant back then and would be insignificant now. Simple as that....not one Gnr writing credit under his name and not a very good drummer anyway...certainly not as good as Josh Freese, Brain or even Frank. He was good on a few songs but overall, he is just too stiff.
I'm not a fan of Matt's drumming, but since drums were utterly awful on CD, I think Axl could use him. Josh Freese and Brain are 2 of the most overrated drummers on the planet. Brain's style doesn't even fit GN'R, not even Axl's "vision GN'R". Frank...he's the best for GN'R out of the last 3, but he still can't play YCBM, so... Matt wins.
