The running-around-like-a-madman doesn't necessarily elevate the performance for me, but that's personal, I guess smile. But check out that Come Together video I posted above, he's standing completely still there. Sure, his voice was shot at the end of that tour, but that's my entire point: inconsistent.

Agreed. I saw Leonard Cohen a few years back he barely moved, better than Axl all the same though.

Bad news for any Guns N' Roses fans hoping to see Lana Del Rey warm up crowds on their tour.
The moody indie singer is NOT opening for GNR despite a flurry of rumors after Lana posted a pic wearing a jacket that read "Lana Del Rey Guns N' Roses 2016 Tour."
We're told Axl Rose gifted the personalized satin tour jackets to his friends and family. Lana was one of a couple dozen who got the hookup. Sources close to the unexpected pals tell us they've been tight for years.
We're told Lana met Axl through a mutual friend -- her ex-boyfriend Justin Murdock, billionaire heir to the Dole Food Company.
Lana ditched Murdock in 2012, but she obviously got Axl in the breakup.

Looks like those coathangers are opening for GNR n the upcoming world tour seeing as they are wearing the jackets and all.

It's official.

Zig zag was by far the best.  And he played a mean harmonica and looked cool as fuck and had a kick as name. Love that dude.

My dream GNR line-up is Teddy on Drums. Teddy on Guitar. Maybe Teddy on Bass and of course Teddy on Vocals.

Rihanna actually has a right to be there, having recorded with Slash. Courtney Love? Not so very much.

She recorded with Fortus and he toured with her too.

But everyone has a right to be there.

That's what rock n roll is about.

Bruce is excellent. But that said the songs he writes are much ewasier to sing.

Axl could probably sing the entire Maiden set on their current tour without breaking a sweat.

But because Axl pushes himself to do the vocal weirdness he does, there's always that chance that his voice is going to just fuck up.

Muscly. I love Maiden but GNR are real rock n roll.

#56 Re: Guns N' Roses » Axl Rose joins AC/DC » 479 weeks ago

Is Eddie Trunk just stirring shit?

I can't imagine they'd fire Brian on any grounds. He's an icon.

Brian's hearing is definitely damaged.
It is not a small thing when a doctor tells you that you are risking total hearing loss either.

I'd say in all seriousness that AC/DC are done and plan to wind up after this tour for good.
After the last show they're all out.

Until then Axl is going to cover vocals.
But Ac/DC won't continue beyond this run of shows.

Here we are. First official word from Brian on his hearing loss.

"Quoting almost verbatim, he told us how the doctors are still treating his ears weekly with direct injections into the ear drum and how the care is not fun for him, hoping that he can recover a minimum of hearing and resistance.

"The left ear is really bad and it is impossible for Brian to hear even the tone of the guitars.

"For this reason, he says, he does not want to embarrass the band nor the fans. Even the right ear has worsened significantly and is struggling to improve.

"He concludes that the affection shown to him has helped him a lot in these dark days. Thank you and greets everyone."

I do have a helluva good zoom lens.

I don't know if going in with just a lens and someone else with me taking the body would work?

I assume the worst that could happen is they coat check it like what happened with the Killers ha.

The security were wondering how I got it in and I was like a magician never tells his secrets.

I get what some people are saying here.

But, really it shouldn't matter if some fuck wants to take photos at your show. As long as they have a ticket and aren't annoying everyone around them.

Look. Don't be a douchebag.
You need written permission to take a camera into a random show. They have an official photographer already Katarina Benzova.
I doubt they want another one.

The worst that could happen is that they take your camera and send you away.
It's written there on the ticket when you buy it.
No recording equipment.

You won't legally own the pictures if they're taken illegally either.
Putting them in your portfolio will only show the world that you've done something illegal and don't know enough about your craft to have worked that out beforehand.

What's the point?

If you're trying to build a portfolio, get media credentials. Go photograph bands who are young and don't care. Go to clubs or theaters.

The point is capturing the moment from my perspective and not on my cellphone.

I've done media credentials before and got some. Like I said though, an artist of that caliber would likely not respond to someone like me. Plus I wouldn't be asking to be in the photo pit, but, just taking a few at my seat. Also, some media credentials take away the photographers copyright. For example look at: The Foo Fighters / Taylor Swift.

So again if anyone has tidbits that would be appreciated. I can handle being shit on, but, yeah.

If you weren't official and were taking shots at my show I'd kick you out.

Simple as that.

There are not flies on Frank.

Love his feel.
Adler was trying for a Ronnie Tutt feel and there is nothing wrong with that Tutt's a great drummer it is part of what made Appetite great.

but frank has that Levee Breaks tone going on with a punk rock bite to it that I really like.

Neil Peart is overrated
