I think it's at 0:24 in this video. If you really want to see GN'R's keyboard player swallow her own vomit.
This is what you get for chugging fistfuls of candy before the show, honestly.

Really interesting read. I always find that stuff about what musicians do between the high-profile gigs fascinating, like, the indie movie and video game soundtracks that pay the rent. Also I'm going to be watching that MetLife show to see if I can spot the moment when... y'know.

I dunno, I think Sorum's personality ruled him out of the reunion. They wanted a reliable company man; Adler wasn't picked because the pressure of touring might be too much for him, and reading some of the Sorum anecdotes - his "80s Motley Crue bullshit" with the groupies etc - probably made them balk at using him.
If anyone, they should've got Brain back for the tour.

Still, though. Baby steps. At least they're finally putting some content out there. Not exactly Metallica's "a full concert from the archives every Monday, for charity," mind.

Yeah, Houston 2016 would be the obvious choice. Axl was (relatively) lean, his voice was on peak form in that show.

If they had any sense they'd do what Metallica's done. Upload a new show every Monday, from different eras of the band. Whack up an 80s show, a 2002-era one with Buckethead, a NITL show (Houston '16!). Hell, throw in some Ashba, why not, some people like him.
Also I look forward to the children's picture book version of My Michelle.
#577 Re: Guns N' Roses » This I Love - album version with raspy vocals (fanmade) » 338 weeks ago
Listening to it... yeah, it doesn't really work, does it? Like, it'd be nice if he sang the original with more rasp, but this vocal arrangement, with these melodies, is clearly not intended to go over the soft, orchestral original. The vocals sort-of work in the later choruses, where the guitars and drums kick in, but even then the mix is pretty painful.

Just in case anyone was curious what the album version of "This I Love" with the remix version's vocals, here you go...
Ooh, does this mean someone's managed to work up an isolated version of the raspy vocal? Would love to have that so I can play around with my own remixes...

ISTR someone mentioning that one reason he sounds better with AC/DC is that their vocal tech is better than GN'R's one; the guy adds some light distortion to the vocals, or something, which brings back the rasp? Whatever, Axl should pay the guy whatever he wants to come work for GN'R.

Slither could be better, because Axl's made some bizarre choices while singing it. Scott's vocal register is lower than his, so he could do the whole thing in his Brownstone/It's So Easy voice, but for some reason he switches to a high register in the choruses.
