Why would this be the stake in the heart? Your boy Desantis is overseeing a shit storm in Florida and everyone is anointing him the new king of the Republican party.
My boy?
Mitch, this is your problem, I'm liberal on a lot of issues and have voted democrat. Whenever someone opposes some progressive talking point you agree with, you instantly jump out with conservative! Trumper! FOX news! And whatever insult you want to throw out. Democrats are losing liberals, not woke progressives, but tried and true liberals, because of this social justice bullshit. That should concern you. Critical race theory is a scam. People are making a shitload of money off it. It's also racist. Many black liberals reject it. As for Desantis, I can see how the dems and the media propped up Cuomo and tried to destroy Desantis. They were wrong. That's not a Republican/Democrat thing.
People are looking back at progressive talking head tweets from last year and it's uniformly anti vax, and were predicting Trump's rush to get vaccines out was going to kill people. You can't make this up.
Isn't he your governor? That's what I mean by 'your boy.'

The thing that may save Biden and his Dems if they stick to it will be his handling of the pandemic. By the mid-terrms, which are still 18 months away, Co-vid should be in the rear view mirror. This is the area his poll numbers are the best.
That being said...I think he has other major problems from the public perception standpoint. I still contend that the average voter doesn't know shit about shit and doesn't care to know. I also contend that those that claim to be the most informed are mostly informed with sources of some sort of bias. The perception to me is 6 months in, nothing of real substance has been accomplished there has been much a-do about nothing regarding the 'bi-partisan' nature of the infrastructure talks. Whatever bullshit that's been accomplished to this point (bi-partisan or not) has had little or no effect on the average person.
Personally, I feel like he's been a president to this point who stepped into the batters box and is just hoping and praying for a walk. He doesn't (or hasn't to this point) even wanted to take a real swing.
As far as the mid-terms, I feel like the Dems should be less worried about the Senate than the house. Due to the luck of the draw, I see it being quite reasonable that they extend their majorities to 51 or 52 especially if Ron Johnson doesn't run again in Wisconsin. I can tell you from experience that Wisconsinites don't like this abrasive style he's taken on...and his constant spreading of misinformation has made him seem a lot more like Trump who lost Wisconsin. If the dems can pick a bland, older white guy to run for that spot in Wisconsin, I think they pick it up.
Here's where it gets a bit more complicated...an analysis of the house races in 2020 shows that an astounding number of them were decided by less than 1%. Still more, an even more impressive number were decided by 1-3%.
Biden is shaping up to be a one term pres. His poll rating is at a record low
His record low would still be a Trump high and everyone was extremely confident he could easily beat Biden. The calmness and rather blaze 6 months since Biden has take office is exactly what I needed and I think what this country needed. Will it be enough in the mid-terms in 18 months? I doubt it.
They've also fucked up with the critical race theory situation.
The real problem with critical race theory is that for every one person that is willing to truly grasp what it means and at least attempt to grasp it, you have 5 people who are motivated to speak out against it without every really knowing what it is or it's all about. You just had a group of people who ate up Trump's misinformation about everything...this same group of people think America has never done any wrong, can do no wrong and will never do any wrong.
In short, it costs votes. As really any new idea does...especially one that is seen as critical of this country. Critical race theory is increasing enthusiasm and engagement from detractors and opposers than it adds to the Democratic base. At least in the short term.

The midterms were going to be an uphill battle, and this is most likely the stake in the heart.
Why would this be the stake in the heart? Your boy Desantis is overseeing a shit storm in Florida and everyone is anointing him the new king of the Republican party.

omg...is this for real? black bloc is a technique not a group.
lol...ok....in order to support Trump you have to drape yourself in his name and all his gear made in China. MAGA
Oh god....someone's been watching a ton of Fox News again...Antifa subscribe to a violent methodology but Trump supporters who force themselves into congress to prevent an election certification are peaceful? Tell ya what...since we're just gonna slap everyone on the wrist and pretend like this didn't happen...wouldn't that just embolden the boogeyman? Antifa could go and kill everyone based on the precedent the Trumpers laid for them.
There's a checklist of things...the more you check off...the more likely you are a white supremacist. It usually starts with an accusation that if you're a democrat, you must be lazy and unemployed. Drives through patriarchy and ends with American flags as your profie pic and an argument over whether Ford or Chevy is better....
Holy shit, the ignorance on display here. Black Bloc is a radical Brazilian group spoiled white progressives appropriated. You go back to the FOX News (lolz) stuff, yet you're the one reciting left wing talking points verbatim.
Everything you put here is a lie. You're literally making up arguments no one is making. I know you've admitted to having mental/emotional issues regarding politics, but damn, stop taking in propaganda and you might actually be able to have a rational conversation.
Ok ID….now we’re talking about a secret group of Brazilian white progressives.
Listen…if you want to keep playing pretend come over to my house and play with my kids so i don’t have to….
Jesus fucking Christ….

No one is minimalizing anything, just refuting your narrative it was a "coup".
Coup - "a sudden and decisive action in politics, especially one resulting in a change of government illegally or by force."
It's also perfectly reasonable to point out that a "coup" (i'm using this in the same manner you were) was launched against the President of the United States with many more rioters, whom was forced into a security bunker. It's also fair to point out that Democratic leaders stood in solidarity and knelt with the leaders of the "coup" a day after it happened. 2 billion dollars in damage was caused by the George Floyd inspired riots last year. 25 people were killed. And one political party chose to have the leaders of this group share their stage at their national convention, and people like you denied any of this occurred (and apparently are still denying it).
If you don't understand why allowing 2 billion in property damage, riots in State Capitol Buildings (https://www.cleveland.com/crime/2020/05 … floyd.html), and countless violent assaults and 25 deaths resulted in a bunch of idiots rioting in the poorly guarded Capitol, there's nothing to discuss. You want the narrative to be completely about January 6th, want to embellish what occurred on January 6th, and use it to justify a bunch of behaviors and laws your party and its leaders decried a few weeks earlier. You can't feign outrage when people who have put more effort into educating themselves on what's been going on since Memorial day 2020 opine and consider events you refuse to acknowledge if not outright deny.
Dude…i don’t acknowledge too many of the alleged ‘facts’ the make up the foundation of f your point of view.
You choose the sources that you believe in…i don’t give them credence. I especially don’t understand why you would both shit on the same media sources that you simultaneously use to support your arguments. Which is it?
You refused to acknowledge the involvement of right wing groups like that boogaloo boys and others’ involvement in what happened last summer because it simply doesn’t fit your narrative. It’s a clever thing the right has gotten away with…labeling their disorganized and feckless enemies into one category….antifa. It’s an extremely vague word and intentionally so. Anyone that disagrees with Trump is antifa…anyone that gets in the rights way is antifa.
If you refuse to acknowledge all the players in what happened last summer then I’ve got nothing for ya.

No one accused you of any of that. But assuming they did, how does it feel to have someone completely ignore what you've written only to accuse you of things you explicitly denounced or never even addressed in the post they didn't bother to read? You know, like you saying anyone here supported January 6th or thinks it was okay or acceptable in any fashion.
It just comes off as…i dunno…disingenuous…
Most of you can’t talk about Jan 6 without bringing up BLM, antifa and the riots last summer.
You can’t talk about it without excusing it for one reason or another.
If you use 100 words denouncing something and then 10,000 minimizing it then i think i know where you stand.

Oh so now we’ve switched topics and I’ve somehow defended Texas Democrats who left the state. And somehow I’m loosely responsible for the spread of Co-vid. Something that’s only taken seriously by the right when Dems spread it.

C’mon, Mitch. You don’t have any idea what antifa looks like?
They’re dressed in similar outfits and carry signs and armbands that say ANTIFA. This is why your comparison fails. If you see someone in a MAGA hat, you have a 99% certainty of walking away unharmed if you tell them you voted for Biden. If you see an Antifa member, you have a 99% certainty of being assaulted if you tell them you voted for Trump.

It’s just very comical to see your past comments on Jr, who actually ran a business, contrasted with Hunter who is a literal crack head raking in millions from foreign nationals.
You profess to be a spokesman for the plight of black Americans. Yet remain absolutely mum when 100 were shot in one weekend in the city you claim. Do Black Lives Matter or do they only matter when a race baiting lawyer or pundit opine that maybe the shots were fired by a racist cop. See: Jacob Blake and Ma’khia Bryant.
You profess to be concerned about political violence, but after more than a year of riots and protests, you have the gall to claim you don’t know what antifa is. It’s intentional at this point if you’re truly ignorant of the damage they’ve caused, often in direct collaboration with BLM. But I appreciate your consistency in focusing on the obscure instead of the 99.9% that paints a totally different narrative than the one you just happen to simultaneously share with paid mouthpieces for progressive group think.
I have to admit...black bandanas are pretty scary...and a shield for fighting in the a way in the 11th century.
I don't see any guns either and I don't see much of anything other than poor people.
