As far as the whole Axl-Slash thing, I don't think a percentage can ever be put on either guy on how much they are to blame for the breakup.

GUNS N' ROSES Singer AXL ROSE Is Threatening To Fire The Rest Of The Group
GUNS N' ROSES singer AXL ROSE appears to have persuaded bandmates DUFF MCKAGAN and MATT SORUM to devote themselves to the group. And his demands mean he now has a temporary replacement for guitarist SLASH, who left the rockers earlier this year - STEVE JONES, who has just completed a reunion tour with his 1970s group the SEX PISTOLS. After Slash's departure, Rose laid down the law and expressed dissatisfaction with the NEUROTIC OUTSIDERS, the project bassist McKagan and drummer Sorum formed with DURAN DURAN star JOHN TAYLOR and Jones. Now the Neurotic Outsiders have reportedly canceled tour plans. Taylor is now going to concentrate on his own solo career while Jones is to guest on the forthcoming Guns N' Roses album.

"You know without Axl and Slash we wouldn't have November Rain and Estranged" .. Well you don't know what the fuck I went through to get that guy to play those songs. You don't know about the argument we had at A&M studios, because Duff and Slash came to me going "We're not gonna do that song Axl, we're not gonna do this song, no, no, we're just not gonna do it." .. But I wanna do it. We'll do it right now. This song is called 'patience'."
All the stuff about the music makes sense, Matt & Slash for example done various interviews throughout the year where they said they didn't like various songs.
The truth is they didn't want to be here for you at this level and they don't want to take it farther.
The MTV "Behind The Music" had many examples of what Axl presumably meant... Matt & the others just wanted to play guitars & drum ect... just continue, whereas Axl was the perfectionist or alot more ambitious he wanted orchestral arrangements ect... on stuff
I agree with Jessica, it's his point of view, he lived that, and almost all of it was said by the others too...
I don't think much of it is lies.

"Well, you see Axl said something nice, so how can we use that to our advantage?" ... The truth is they didn't want to be here for you at this level and they don't want to take it farther. I don't think Slash gives Axl enough credit when it comes to writing songs, he doesn't actually say it, but reading most of it, might give someone the impression that Steven/Duff/Slash wrote all the songs....
He does get credit, just not enough...
I do presume Axl did bring something to the band other than a personalty & performance.
