Didn't Springsteen do Milan and Rome this summer??

Basically the criteria is, where else outside of Dublin can I get access to the level of debaucery I'm accustomed to, and even more in celebration?

A few spots fit the bill. My friend is keen on Milan, me not so much. Either of those Hamburg/Berlin shows look good to me. Or Barca/Amsterdam. I could have a good time in those cities for a GnR gig I think..

If it does play out like this, or somewhat similar to this, with the Download exclusivity clause, I guess a few UK evo members would take the trip across to Dublin? Or France..?

Maybe move this thread to sunset strip forum?

Back on gtao lately if you fancy a wee game neemo, or anyone. I'll even try n stay up late..
Been mostly just playin the cunning stunts tracks, really enjoying them. Makes me regret spending so much cash on trackmania turbo.. Still gettin into a few skirmishes in free roam, tho I never shoot first.. Well sometimes wink

Bit underwhelmed by ps4 pro/neo.. Might jump ship to Scorpio..

You guys act like the sun shines out of Richard Fortus's big nose.

Fucks sake. It's Izzy fuckin Stralin you're talking about here. You don't talk that way about Keef or George Harrison do you?!

Re Croke Park

Would be good venue for this really. While Slane's actually a natural amphitheatre, it's a bit of a pain to get in and out of. Croke is right in the centre of Dublin, easily accessible in and out of. Would suit the inevitable spillage of UK fans.
Croke Park also has a bigger capacity than the RDS, the last outdoor Irish gig they played in 2006, around 70-80,000. With Download exclusivity would they be able to pull off two Dublin gigs??
All being well I'll be so rookied I won't even remember the show. That's the plan at the minute.

Few other dates look real tempting also..

He did not write the main riffs on songs like Jungle, Child, or Paradise City. These particular songs were written based on Slash's riffs. The band would be a little cult band if Sweet Child didn't blow up the way it did.

When did we start keeping score by the hits, or what the general public most associates with? Not getting at you tejastech, I've seen other people say this as well. It's just, we're here because we love all the records and songs & know the value of them. So when you're saying that PC is more valuable than say Coma, well that doesn't really cut it in these parts: it's the tunes that matter, not the amount of cash the song makes.

Look at it this way, would you be a fan if there had been only Jungle, SCOM & PC on AFD? There must be more to it than that to have kept you a fan for fuckin however many number of years? Izzy's contributions must've played some part in that.

There'd have been absolutely nothing wrong had they just been a cult band. We'd still have had the tunes, that's all that matters.

Because that is ultimately what is driving this stadium tour. I love Izzy's contributions. But I'm not Joe Schmoe casual fan buying a ticket to the stadium tour. Those fuckers pay to see the really big hits. This all started with someone claiming Izzy was THE principal songwriter. I straight up disagree with that notion. He is a damn good songwriter and he played an important role in the band, but I don't believe there was a single principal songwriter. This wasn't Motley Crue. It was a group of talented songwriters.

Aye fair enough, you're right.

It was absolutely about money from Day 1. Go look at the history of the Sunset Strip. All 5 guys jumped around to a bunch of different bands trying to find one that could be financially successful.

This. Greed & bitterness have been part of what's fuelled it.
+ it wouldn't be a reunion without some acrimony.

The manner in which he handles the question about the Lebeis family honestly kinda blew my mind. His facial expression & attitude just turn on a sixpence, he's just fuckin got that glare, but all of a sudden he answers it with a joke. It's like wtf is goin on? That still seems so unusual. I guess by now it shouldn't be so strange to see..

Sure, someone having sex with you out of love is a wonderful thing, but that doesn't mean there's any real harm in someone else doing it for a job.

Just like if my wife bakes me a cake out of love it's a wonderful thing, but that doesn't make bakers who make cakes for people bad people.

The big thing here is sugar babies, especially in college towns. College girls will be the "girlfriend" of men, Sugar Daddies, who put them on an allowance and/or help them pay for college. This would have been Bill Clinton's answer to bringing down college debt. tongue

Done that too. To misquote dazed and confused, that's what I love about college girls: I get older, they stay the same age..
