The guy is 44 years old. It doesn't matter what happened, he needs to grow up and learn to control himself.
It is likely that Axl was 44 in 2006. But now he's 46.

RIR is one of the few festivals or the only one a band could (should?) play even without a new album. As much as i'm bored to hear the classics by the 'new' band, playing RIR is always fun.
Indeed.
RIR is the ideal festival to let the world know that you still exist as a band. There are few festivals that have the same impact. Moreover, several artists that had played in 2006 will play again this year.

I believe Mysteron - and it seems to be the most logical choice as well since they're sorting things out with the record company and Chinese Democracy.
RIR is in June or July, so playing there wouldn't hurt.

DJ: Be honest here Sebastian... Are we ever gonna hear Chinese Democracy? Not you, but us!
Baz:: YES!
DJ: [laughs] Ok.....
Baz: Yes you are. I know for a fact you are. And, it's not really him holding it back. It's all these business people fighting over it. And you know, I've been in contact with him and he's had it done for a long time.
DJ:: Right.
Baz:: And it's just.. There's so many people that are fighting over that album, that it's really bigger than him, you know? So, when I read all this crap about him, it's so hilarious 'cause people don't really know what they're talking about. You know? Guns N' Roses is bigger than rock.
DJ:: Right.
Baz:: They're like the Stones or Led Zeppelin, or Fleetwood Mac or something like that. Like when we toured with them, the whole city comes. You know, it's not just like "here's a show", it's like everybody comes out, you know?
DJ:. Right
Baz:: So... It's a very big deal. You'll hear it. I heard it, it's totally incredible.
DJ:: Excellent man.

According to mygnr member Tom-Ass, there's a Slash interview in the new Hustler.
I didn't pick it up but I could see teh magazine behind the counter. It said something liek Slash talks guitars, groupies and more... Anyone have it?
