I'm clocking out until January with work. I have spoken to management of Slash, Duff and Axl, and the tour people. Nothing from the Axl camp as per usual.

Anyway, they have been and are recording a new album, as already mentioned. The NITL tour is over, as already mentioned. The dates just now are festival dates, they do not need a tour name, and that will be the focus for now. When things start happening, we will start to see individual city dates.

Not expecting any news until after the New Year, the band feel they will be able to release an album, but there are still unknowns ahead, hence the festival dates for now.

The record company appear to be happy, so I don't know what lies ahead in terms of potential obstructions.

And that's it.

i hope to god that the new album is called stay of execution and i also hope that the album will be released in march if not march then august

he might not play on the album but most of the drumming on it was his drumming played by brain and frank and i think he deserves more credit

Josh is a fantastic drummer. He's smooth and has more feel than Brain. Slash knew enough to recruit him on his solo album too. Can't say enough about him on these demos. He's great.

even though josh never played a show with gnr we still need him back in the band and these demos are fucking excellent

Thing is if Labour had pulled their thumb out of their arse and ditched Corbyn a year or so ago they’d have a real chance. Distrust in Boris is high but very few see Corbyn as PM material. There’s some capable people in the shadow cabinet.

The silver lining of a Boris win would be it would hopefully signal the end of Corbyn.

what do you have against corbyn?

Also take into consideration Freese got less than zero credit during the saga except a co-writing credit for the title track at the end.

It never truly dawned on anyone that so many tracks had truly been completed on his watch.

Just like with Tobias, he deserves kudos because that original Chinese lineup had cooked up something special.

did freese not get credit for the blues twat prostitute riad and catcher? on the album the blues riad and prostitute are note for note the same as the freese demos. and catcher and twat are different but they are mostly the same as what freese wrote he deserves more credit imo cause the drums on the album were decided in 2000 that freese's drum style would stay on the record. but brain and frank would play them on the album someone should tweet josh freese saying that his drums on the album are basically the same as what he played.

He got one co-writing credit (CD) and doesn't play on the album at all.

Years ago... Brain said that Axl wanted him to rerecord Freese's parts exactly but with Brain's"feel".

Now that we've heard the original album as it was intended at the time, we can see how unnecessary this decision was.  I love Brain but those songs were ready to go.

It was also a sign of things to come and started the pattern of adding new members to already finished material.

Random thought unrelated to the poll, but listening to these songs again makes me realize what monsters Brain/Freese were on drums. I like Frank as the touring drummer and have even gone to great lengths defending him but wow. This drumming is phenomenal.

what would you say in june this year if i told you that we would have almost every single cd demo from late 99 to 01?

When did they start releasing deep cuts as lead singles?  16

I didn't even know they had an album coming out. I'm out of the pop culture loop completely.

I'll definitely check it out but I guess we're long past the point of Vertigo type singles bashing us over the head.

Sucks getting old.

I hope there is something decent on it as it could potentially be their last album. They're not getting any younger.

I'd like Metallica to crank out one more album too.

anyone but U2 they fucking put me to sleep idk who is more boring? Radiohead or U2?
