GUNS N' ROSES keyboardist Dizzy Reed will release his debut solo album, "Rock 'N Roll Ain't Easy", on February 16 on digital, CD and purple vinyl via Golden Robot Records.
The first single from the disc, "This Don't Look Like Vegas", can be streamed below.
Written by Reed, Ricky Warwick (THIN LIZZY, THE ALMIGHTY, BLACK STAR RIDERS) and Del James, "This Don't Look Like Vegas" features Warwick and Mayuko Okai on guitar, with GUNS bandmate Richard Fortus (PSYCHELIC FURS, THIN LIZZY, THE DEAD DAISIES) providing the guitar solo. Mike Dupke (W.A.S.P.) is on drums, with Mike Duda (W.A.S.P.) on bass, while Reed handles lead vocals, piano, shaker and tambourine, with backing vocals from Nadja Reed, Chela Johnson and Del James.
"Rock 'N Roll Ain't Easy" is 12 tracks (or 13, if you download the digital version) of rock with Reed uniting with fellow members of GUNS N' ROSES, along with some other greats, including players from W.A.S.P., QUIET RIOT, PSYCHEDELIC FURS, THIN LIZZY, NO DOUBT, THE REPLACEMENTS, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, and more.
Reed is the longest-serving member of GN'R after singer Axl Rose. He joined the band as a touring member in 1990, during the "Use Your Illusion" era, and has played with most of the original members as well as in all the later editions of the group and the current reunion lineup.
The Pulse Of Radio asked Reed how he's managed to stay in the band for so long. "I get asked that a lot and it's really just, I just never really thought about doing anything else, you know, on sort of a permanent basis," he said. "You know, I kind of feel like I'm in GUNS N' ROSES and that's where I was meant to be."
In the world of music, GUNS N' ROSES need no introduction. Few bands in history have achieved the level of success and recognition that GN'R has. The addition of Reed marked a stylistic turning point in the band's maturity, incorporating piano and the epic tones of the Hammond B-3 into their aggressive hard rock sound.
In 2012, Dizzy was inducted into the the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame as a member of GUNS N' ROSES. He has toured with the PSYCHEDELIC FURS and has toured, recorded and written with supergroup THE DEAD DAISIES whose lineup has featured members of THE CULT, MÖTLEY CRÜE, WHITESNAKE, THE ROLLING STONES and THIN LIZZY. He also sings lead vocals with his side project HOOKERS 'N' BLOW. On surviving and flourishing in rock's 'sharky' waters, he says: "Never stop learning and exploring, but don't forget what you do best. Stick to your guns."

Does anyone know where I can buy just the CD from the Las Vegas residency release a few years ago without also having to buy the blu-ray or dvd?
The dvd/cd pack is great. I have it. What an amazing DVD!
You can download the cd in newalbumreleases.net

Whether you're barely aware of Buckethead or you own a copy of all the million albums he's put out, you absolutely know one thing – the guy has a bucket on his head and he's wearing a mask. So why the bucket and mask? Buckethead, or Brian Carroll, tells the Coming Alive Podcast that he was basically eating chicken one night and it just happened.
Carroll elaborates a little more and says that the bucket and mask really helped him overcome his anxiety, or as he put it "I could do everything I liked doing as this character that I'm totally scared to death to do otherwise."
"It sort of happened… It wasn't something I really thought about. I was eating – it was actually a different chicken company, I don't really know what it was – I was eating it and I thought… I had that mask, kind of like Michael Myers, it had a similar quality, but it wasn't exactly the same size.
"I just put it on my head and I looked in the mirror. And I was like 'That's Buckethead.' And then my friend went to school, he was going to college and he had video class and he filmed me. And I knew this guitar player, his name is Jim Gore. He really is the one I feel I owe a lot to. He encouraged me to do it, 'You should just go be Buckethead, go play!'
"Because I was always super scared to play, and I didn't really link that together, I just thought 'This is weird.' Like a horror movie guy. And when he saw it he was like 'You should just go for it!' I was like 'That would be cool.' Because I could do everything I liked doing as this character that I'm totally scared to death to do otherwise. And it applied to all the stuff I like, like Disneyland and martial arts and dancing, all that stuff I liked. I was like, 'I can't do it just like me.' It was a great way to get all the stuff out."
Buckethead also revealed recently to Coming ALive that he's currently struggling with a very serious heart condition.

What an amazing show!!! Listened live with Bono, Gibbo, Metallex78, and Monkeychow. The mix was AMAZING! Axl for the most part was amazing!! Slash’s tone was so beautiful. The mix was perfect.
Is there a mp3 link from the show?

these guys are rich and lazy.
they're only going to release new material one day when people get tired of going to the same show again, and money stops coming in.
the way we get something new from these guys is not going to the shows anymore.

It's worse than I thought.
I thought the "guy" played drums on that ... but no, he played the guitar!
Why this Axl? even you have entered the list of this asshole.
