Tickets look pretty well sold, so it does not appear like they are canceling due to lack of interest.
Springsteen is postponing shows right now as well.
Not good.

Steve’s drumming was definitely an important part of the GN’R magic. I think about Rocket Queen in particular. All 5 dudes were equally important on that song. Phenomenal stuff across the board.
Izzy said “nothing worked” after Steve was kicked out. You can definitely hear a loss of magic in their sound on the Illusion albums. Bunch of good songs, but the sound was not the real deal Guns N’ Roses.
I never heard that Izzy comment before. It makes me wonder if that is a large part of why he quit. Also makes me wonder if he and Steven stay in touch.
Considering all the grief and drama that followed, he got out at the peak of GNR’s success. It’s like a stock market investor selling their shares at their all-time highest value!

When Bill left, apparently Mick, Charlie, and Sir Keef made a gentleman’s agreement that they were the core molecule of The Rolling Stones and if any of them left, they would retire the name.
Obviously that’s not happened and “Angry” is terrific, but they should reconsider after this rumored 2024 tour and end the band in honor of Charlie.
Remember when Roger advertised himself as “The Creative Genius of Pink Floyd”? I imagine the remains of Syd Barrett are still spinning in the grave …

None of the hardcore fans are going to stop talking about and wanting the ChiDem outtakes until we get them.
Write new songs? Cool. But we will still want “Oklahoma,” “Seven,” “Cuban Skies,” etc.

This is supposed to be the most dangerous band in the world.
If they talk shit about each other some of the time … what friends and families don’t?
Steven offers a unique feel and it is his skull likeness included on the logo.
They owe it to the fans and Steven himself to give him more chances to be in the band.

If it takes 7 years to tart up some old nu gnr tracks then we'll all be dead by the time new new music comes out
Pretty much.
The Stones’ new song from the upcoming album is epic. And they’re talking about touring next year.
Why are these guys in their 80s who influenced GNR seeming more excited about being a rock band than GNR itself?
They need to just rush-release as much of the ChiDem sessions as possible — without overdubs or overthinking things — to give us something to listen to if they are going to be absent for a while.
Again, the leakers have done the test-marketing for the band. It will sell.

Great, concise rock and roll anthem. They’ve still got it.
Was Charlie on this?

Thanks for sharing that. It is fun that he gets t-shirts from local places for the band to wear.
This, however, made me shake my head. He talks as if they are as freeform as The Grateful Dead. Didn’t someone say he has been inaccurate in the past?
“We don’t have a set list. It’s different every night. The tour is exceptional in that regard. We’ve settled into a zone, but when we started, it was really ‘anything goes.’”

Steven gave the songs their life. A swing for the sex appeal but high energy, fast paced, and bouncy.
It was starting things off right and giving Izzy something to play against.
Steven also smiled and looked like he was having the time of his life when he played.
100% agree with both of these.

They should almost cancel the Phoenix show:

Adding “The General” to setlists ASAP could help. Hardcore fans who have been sitting out this tour would return to shows in record time.
