You know what? Taylor Swift is good music.
You don't have to hate other shit.
Oh god...
You don't have to like everything you hear just because it made the radio either.

Without Melissa Reese... there would be no Guns n Roses....
srsly, this thread has jumped the shark.
People thought Pittman was useless and ashba was only there to attract the hot topic crowd, but this one gets a pass, cause diversity??
Kinda hilarious they print her name before Frank's in most articless too...
I tend to agree DeadSouth, this is pretty ridiculous....she's what...the third piano player in the band and the computer drums player?
#4883 Re: Guns N' Roses » New Guns N Roses member Melissa Reese » 491 weeks ago
Why would anyone go after her?
This is explained earlier in this thread....but basically I don't care for the fake drums machine. I feel it adds little to nothing.

Random note...I see James appears to be developing a crush on Ms. Reese....so I'll lay off her....for now
#4885 Re: Guns N' Roses » "Guns N' Roses is back. But where are Axl Rose's snake hips?" » 491 weeks ago
I would have to agree with the rest of the posters....Axl has cancelled for lesser reasons before. I really tip my cap to the guy for swallowing a bit of his ego and going on with the show. I imagine they all feel a lot of pressure to perform given the hype and the circumstance. To suck it up in less than ideal circumstances and move on is something I needed to see from this 'reunion.' I just didn't know it would happen right out of the gate.

I'm not sure what people are expecting with Axl on a chair most of the show. Duff/Slash will often throughout the show walk up to the chair. Axl will look in their directing and bob his head :P.
Slash spends most of the show at his side of the stage as he did in VR (when I saw them live) apart from when he walks over to Axl's chair. There's once or twice when Slash/Duff/Fortus will stand side by side while jamming, although most of the videos focus only on what Slash/Axl are doing. Axl and Slash also walked off the stage together on the first show and seemed to be having friendly words.

Do we want Slash to sit on Axl's knees?
I guess that is part of the question in terms of what should I/we expect? I don't know if I'm being fair....I keep trying to back myself up and let the damn thing unfold.
I do have to admit though that I hadn't considered what Axl being in his chair all the time might do to the onstage chemistry...I guess I just thought that if they appeared to be enjoying themselves that it would lend well to them working together for the long haul.

I just wanted to start a topic regarding their on-stage chemistry to this point. I viewed some of the videos...wasn't sure what to make of it just yet. I am wondering if anyone has been zoning in on how they are interacting with each other on/off the stage...
Looks pretty luke warm to me TBO...what you guys seeing?
#4888 Re: Guns N' Roses » New Guns N Roses member Melissa Reese » 493 weeks ago
Ok fair enough...I didn't see her on stage because I did not recognize her....same way I didn't recognize Pittman. In fairness, I did see a picture of her. I think people over generalize the terms misogynistic, sexism or anything related to feminism.
My point was that she plays a role I don't notice or care to notice. Just like the man who played that role before her.
But now you've got me down another rabbit hole. See...here's the logic....and i see it every day.
Person 1 criticizes person 2.
Person 3 sees it happen, looks back to see who person 1 and person 2 are.
If person 1 is a man, and person 2 is a woman....all context becomes irrelevant and the criticism is immediately dismissed
Person 3 criticizes person Person 1 of your pick of the mill sexism accusations
The comment by James Lofton was of substance...and I acquiesce. I will give them a pass on 2016 and do my best to temper unfair judgements.

Oh my god...I was concerned about the board filling up with not-so-deep thinking, overly giddy fan boys and girls who basically become Axl/GnR yes men.
Here's the problem for me....this whole reunion just took way too long to happen for me and I won't just be happy with whatever they throw out just bc it's the original half of the line up.
This choice for yet another completely random band member to serve in a role that I don't even really notice is absolutely nothing to me.
This, just like everything about this reunion thus far has been about one thing: CASH
The choice of this woman to perform this duty is nothing different - she's probably very cheap.
When will people stop mistaking scantily clad women on a stage as artists or musicians. At least Traci and Roberta added something to the music that I could easily understand.
How long will it be before people start making fun of this band despite the reunion status? At least the Rolling Stones tried to create new music.

I did when they shoved and harrassed that black girl, which was infuriating, and I made it a point to state it here. The difference to me was that it was a stupid, racist old man, near 80 years old who sucker elbowed that kid, which was bullshit, compared to tonight where these clowns went in to deliberately antagonize and try to start something ugly. On MSNBC it was stated protestors outnumbered Trump supporters like 60-40. This was orchestrated by a group who had intentions, compared to a old racist guy throwing a sucker punch.
And I really hate the privlaged left.
Wow, I had largely stayed out of this political debate thread but this one here had to do it....
privileged left? just what in sam hell does that mean? I don't even really know the details but the University of Illinois at Chicago was a very dumb place for Trump to hold his rally. There is no privilege there....it's not Harvard or Yale, or even Notre Dame. It's largely middle class families. The school is just outside the loop and it is surrounded by the ghetto....although they are slowly cleaning it up.
but see.....Trump is a bully....and the only way deal with a bully is to be a bully right back. I'll tell you what man, as a Chicago resident for 10 years, I support the shit outta this...
If Trump wants to attract hate, then he's gonna get it on all sides.
As far a privilege is concerned....man...what a ridiculous statement. If you want to know what privilege is....take a look at Trump. He inherited his wealth and is a mediocre business man at best. Completely and totally out of touch with everything but hypocrisy.
It really is unbelievable....the Republicans created this...now they have to deal with it. This country has largely been conservative for the duration of its existence, but the buffoons in charge have completely rolled around in their own shit. This is the perfect shit storm for a Socialist to come in and win it all.
