#4131 Re: Guns N' Roses » Claim About The Finished Album Sucking (Ross Halflin) » 903 weeks ago
even if he listened to the leaks he should have gotten past the second song. this is untrue or he is the most unqulaified person in the world to judge music. i gotta go out on a limb and say that the leaks are better than the rest of the music on that list. gunslinger and atari legend also bring up good reasons for why this is bullshit.
"Good Times Bad Times" by Zeppelin is better than any of the leaks.

Shame on you Hillary!

A lawyer in a predominantly Democratic suburb of Cleveland relates this tale to The Swamp on the day before the all-important Ohio primary:
So last night around dinner time, the phone rings. It's the Hillary campaign-official number, per the caller ID. The woman on the other end asks me if Hillary can count on my support Tuesday. I say I have not decided.
She asks what would help me decide. I say, 'Well . . . maybe she can make Bill her vice president.' She does not know how to take me, of course, but has to assume I am serious. 'I don't think she can do that.' 'Bill will have a significant role in major decisions, though, won't he?' I ask. 'Oh, certainly he will be very involved. Do you like Bill?' 'Very much.' I reply.
She then launches into a two-minute spiel on all the very specific initiatives and proposals Hillary has put forth on health care, the war in Iraq, etc., etc. At the end of her spiel, she says, 'And we haven't heard anything that specific from Osama bin Laden.'
I say, 'You did not just say that.' She replies, 'I'm sorry . . . just a slip of the tongue.' She then thanks me for my time and encourages me to vote for Hillary on Tuesday.
The lawyer says he was "stunned" and tells The Swamp the call originated from the Clinton campaign in Columbus. Are the dirty tricks ramping up as we get down to the wire? Swamp readers in Ohio and Texas, relate your own encounters with the Clinton or Obama campaigns if you've had them.

I will be on the look-out for this behavior when I go to my precinct on Tuesday night. I'm gonna be pretty pissed if I see this type of shit going on, particularly since my precinct is literally Obama territory -- it's on my college campus and a vast majority of the students support him rather than her. It'll be hilarious if she has someone trying to be the "leader" of the caucus and 80% of the people vote for Barack. That person sure will look like an idiot when they try to rig the vote, which I am sure they will try to do.

PaSnow wrote:I think it's a last ditch effort in Texas & Ohio. After that, it's too long a wait (@6 weeks) until PA. Too much money & campaigning would be needed to win a state that will likely go about 50/50, so she really wouldn't gain much ground. She needs to win on Tuesday, not tie or come close.
She needs a HUGE win. Winning 55 to 45 aint gonna cut it. She's gotta be more like 60-65 to 40-35. And that won't happen.
Her campaign people keep lowering the bar though. Bill Clinton has said she only needs to win both. One of her managers has said she needs to win 1 of them. But they don't think she needs to win big, which is of course DELUSIONAL.

I have to say, I don't understand why they just can't be cool with them, Axl [GNR]was once an opening band too.
Time and money changes people. Axl let the fame get to his head and has been an impatient egomaniac for the last 18 years, perhaps even longer than that.

Better yet, where is she spending that money if she is being outspent in Ohio and Texas?
Oh, she is spending it trying to pay off all the debt she's rung up from irresponsibly using her money throughout the campaign, such as the ridiculous amount of money she's paying her strategists. And believe me, she is spending her money here. The problem is that he's got a hell of a lot more than she does. Remember that in January alone, he raised $36 million and she raised $13 million. So there's a nice $23 million advantage, regardless of the $20+ million advantage he has in February fundraising. She's just getting owned in every way possible.

In yet another of a long line of mistakes in Hillary's campaign, she is bragging today about raising $35 million in February. Meanwhile, she is getting outspent 2-1 in Ohio and Texas by the Obama campaign. One of his advisors said today upon hearing the news of her $35 million month that Obama will have a "considerably larger" amount than that. Indeed, he raised $36 million in January when she raised $13 million. Independent analysis earlier this month said that Obama was headed for a $50-60 million month. So, how dumb is Hillary's campaign to brag about this? You know Obama's gonna release his numbers later this week and it'll just further embarrass her campaign.
#4138 Re: The Garden » 1 million unique donors! » 904 weeks ago
ROFL, now Hillary has a graph asking her supporters to "close the gap" on Barack's newest $1.9 million ad-buy. This is the second time she's done this. It's sad that she can't get people to donate WITHOUT putting a desperate plea for help on her website. It's as if people don't even bother donating UNLESS she puts up the "close the gap" Meanwhile, the second she matches it, he will turn around and up the ante some more because his supporters actually donate to him on a consistent basis and he actually attracts a lot of new donors.

LOL, they are talking about the number of ads that Obama is running in Ohio and Texas. I can vouch for this since I'm here in Texas. The guy on MSNBC just said it's around 4 to 1 in Ohio. I think it's similar here in Texas, if not worse. It's not just Barack, it's the unions that are running a SHITLOAD of ads for him. The SEIU continues running ads like crazy here in Lubbock, almost as often as Barack's own campaign ads. Hillary just can't keep up. He has built a political machine from the bottom-up rather than from the top-down. They are talking about how it's just shocking to see a Clinton getting embarrassed in the number of ads.

Interesting fact. In 2004, the total number of donors for both parties was 2.5 million.
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0208/8689.html
In 2004, there were a total of 2.5 million donors to the entire presidential field '” Republicans and Democrats. At the rate he's attracting small donors, Obama alone could surpass that number if his campaign marches on to November.
That article says Hillary had 225,000 recently and McCain had 150,000 recently. I am sure they have both gone up, but at the time Obama had 800,000-900,000 and he's gone up quite a bit since then. He is just dwarfing them.
