I like Intercourse, typically as a poster, and it's still all cool...
But this is the GAYEST, LAMEST, WEAKEST thread of all time in this section.
I still think the "Positive" CD thread is stupid as fuck too, despite posting in it.
I might disagree with people, but everyone here should feel free to speak their mind and be positive and/or negative at the given moment of their feelings in my opinion.
Focusing it into a thread doesn't organize it... it shelves it away, so people ignore what people really want to say, good or bad.
My two cents
Agreed, let the feelings flow and ebb as they may, and not attempt to "focus" freedom of speech, and opinions not be stifled. Speak your mind freely in any thread !!

oh please...Tommy earned his rock badge at 15 years old....every bit the player Duff could ever be. Quite frankly though, they are two spirits cut out of the same Johnny Thunders cloth....except Tommy was never a fat drunken clown like Duff turned in to in the Illusion era. Duff is back and together now and Tommy seems together so I will call it a draw...in a good way. Both guys live for rock and roll and are respectful of the art.
Still laughing a bit about the "fat drunken clown" comment.
VGH was a great Album-gotta love tommy!

Awesome! Your not going to see the band live unless the lineup changes to your liking, correct? Therefore, your not a fan of the current band?
Why are you on this forum, then? Unless you don't like the band because they aren't touring your area, that's not the case though. You flat out don't think Axl, Tommy, Chris, and Dizzy have anything to do with the CD era and it's legacy.

Oh yeah, I understand what he was saying. I was kind of agreeing in a way. To me, GNR is a way bigger band than U2. Probably not to the rest of the world, but to me definitely.
I liked U2 -specifically -with or without you, and that era songs but
I'd rather be at a gnr concert if given the choice-you never know what the hell is going to happen! U2 doesn't have that edginess (no pun intended).
And there again it is mentioned how even U2 didn't have the sales in the US, seems other countries have much better taste in music than the US does at present, personally I blame clear channel whose intent is to brainwash people into thinking that hannah fucking Montana and the Jonas brothers are "real" rock (gag).
Fortunately all of us aren't sheep-and can easily discern the difference.
As for Metallica? I lost a lot of respect when they were hearded around by the god-awful "some kind of..." and don't much care for the way Jason Newsted was treated. To me "Death.Magnetic." sounds like a metallica cover band doing Metallica. St.Anger was fucked as well, Load and reload? Give me a break!
I'd rather see GNR than either U2 or Metallica..I'd rather even see
Dream Theater! Portnoy is spot on a phenominon-Petrucchi ain't a slouch either, and Ironically they Also do better overseas than here in the US.
