Hi Everyone -
My remixing days are few and far between, but I thought I'd share some revised Silkworms stuff.
Here is the new-ish
Buckethead version:
https://soundcloud.com/evadergnr/silkworms-bucket-evo
And here is a
Slash version:

Neither one is pure gold, but maybe someone will find some entertainment value from one or the other. If any of you would like to take 8 years of my own tinkering and add your own flair, here is a link to the split files (beware the tricky Sendspace link):
https://www.sendspace.com/file/9p23as
The files are ogg. If you want to mess with the Bucket version, open everything except the first two Slash tracks. For Slash, open everything except the two Bucket tracks.
Glad to see so many of you back at this forum!

I don't think they would be using that old logo if Slash wasn't going to be on stage with Axl. Slash, Duff, Axl and ...

Why does SOMETHING always have to go wrong in the GNR world?
I'm still struggling to accept the disappointment of the "same bat time" comment from 2008.

Hey Will! Just noticed this here, and thought I'd thank both you and Apex for the kind words. At the same time I was doing those, I was also working on a Catcher remix with Buckethead playing the lead parts. Maybe you'll enjoy it too:
#35 Re: GN'R Downloads » [Request] VMA 2002 Video » 716 weeks ago
Can someone please upload a decent quality rip of the VMA 2002 performance (and interview if you have it) for me
Will, there are a few Youtube videos for that performance that are "HD" (search YT for "vma guns roses, hd"). They may all be from the same source. Most are stretched to fill the screen, but at least one isn't:
With a downloader, this one can be ripped at 720 mp4. I have a different one that is 1080, but I doubt it is a true 1080. There is some significant interlacing, and appears to be from a Korean broadcast (some subtitles). I think I can upload it for you if you want, but the file is nearly 500mb for just 11 minutes of content, and the interview isn't included. Let me know.
#36 Re: Guns N' Roses » 9 Year Old Rehearsing on Vocals with GN'R » 726 weeks ago
I believe this is the same 9 year old who brought a sign to a show about her love for Bumblefoot, and it got confiscated by security.
I think these are two different girls. The one with the sign ended up being invited to meet DJ Ashba backstage, and if I remember right it was on Ashba's birthday.
Here is a link to some pictures of Chloeparis on stage with DJ Ashba at the Houston show last November:

She loves the hell out of BBF, and CITR is her favorite GNR song. The video Russ posted is on Chloe's mom's YouTube page. There is another video of her singing CITR on Rockband, and she actually does a really good job of it.
#37 Re: GN'R Downloads » CD Moggs Currently Available » 728 weeks ago
Is there anywhere I can get the isolated tracks?
Of course. Check your inbox in 5 or 6 hours, and hopefully something will be there for you.
Edit: Sorry, it took me 7 hours to get to it. Enjoy!
#38 Re: GN'R Downloads » CD Moggs Currently Available » 728 weeks ago
I just bought a drumkit again, after 4 years away from the skins...
Does anybody know if I can get a drums-free CD or the moggs itself and make them that way on Audacity?
You can definitely do it with the split tracks. Do you want me to upload the songs without drums for you, or would you prefer all the isolated tracks?
#39 Re: GN'R Downloads » Scraped Cardeaux Intro Mix » 729 weeks ago
I don't know who made Blood in the Water or if it's even fan made to begin with. The vocals sound real to me and I believe it's probably a Brain made remix, but I could be wrong.
Yes, the Scraped intro was made as bait to get unheard tracks. In the previous thread that's linked in this thread, my buddy fesses up about the entire thing.
Thanks for the info. I can't believe I don't remember that thread about the Scraped intro. Guns of Navarone had a great idea for it, and I've been listening to modified versions of it since I first heard it. Kudos.

it was fake. one of my friends made it as a joke.
It is a pretty obvious fake, mainly because of the drums, but I like the idea very much. The Superman stuff works great not only in the intro, but throughout the song.
Is your friend the same one that made the Blood in the Water track? And, was the Scraped intro made as bait to get unheard tracks?
