How can 'the perfectonist' Axl let this song go out with that poor quality in the mix?
Even all of us know what the bridge and the end of the song need to be right and it's not difficult to solve It. I'm very surprised

That’s right, it’s not like him to let things like that go by, considering how precise he wanted to be in all of his works. I have a kind of hipe that makes me hope that the end result is not so, that the mix is different.

This is my version of "Chinese Democracy" as it was released circa august 2001.

Some ultimate versions from 1999 to 2001. 18 tracks, "Oh My God" is excluded. All tracks remastered. The flow is perfect. An amazing album.

Oh shit. So why did they wait so long to release it if they didn’t edit the mix?

The delay was because of the quality of the vinyl pressing, not the mix.

Oh ok thanks

It's already out in New Zealand and Australia. Credits from youtube about who is playing on it and production/mixing (the "The General and Monsters" credits from SESAC were about who wrote it).

Some surprises here. Brain's friend Marc "Mirv" Haggard (one of his two friends he co-wrote The General and Seven with) is on the track and they also kept Pitman on it.

But the biggest surprise is that Caram is that they kept Caram's mix, even though Perhaps was mixed by someone else (Joe Barresi). I suppose this is an old mix from 2-3 years ago, but I would expect that there would be at least some consistency for the two sides of the vinyl.

Very interesting. We hope that the mixes of the two tracks are good.

The mix of The General is exactly the same as the leak (so not good).

Oh shit. So why did they wait so long to release it if they didn’t edit the mix?

#36 Re: Guns N' Roses » Unreleased GNR Christmas Song » 80 weeks ago

Ignore what I said earlier.
I did a deeper research, it seems to be a cover of "Baby Please Come Home" recorded in 2016 for the event "Very Special Christams". It’s not certain it’s a GN'R cover.

#37 Re: Guns N' Roses » Unreleased GNR Christmas Song » 80 weeks ago

It’s clearly an AFD-era song, you can tell by the guitar riff, the way the drums sound, and Axl’s voice. Guns could probably release it around Christmas.

Has anyone heard this or was aware of its existence?

Some tribute band I posted linked it, and I really liked it. I never heard of it and a quick forum search showed no results. So enjoy if this is the first time you’re hearing it.

I think they might release it in the future, lately they’ve been advertising a lot of Christmas merchandise.

The only exception I can think of is Roger Waters. The fire is still strong in him.

Touring maybe, but music wise? He hasn't done anything since Amused To Death,  which came out in'91.
A few singles maybe, and a covers album... if his own songs.

You've got an album to catch up on....

Let’s pray they fixed the voice mix

Does this confirm the leaks were the final version? I've listened to the start of that and the leak and they're absolutely identical to my ears?

Anyone with headphones costing more than £38 want to disagree with that?

I think they deliberately hid the beginning of the lyrics, to leave the doubt about the mix change of Axl’s voice.
