10 years to make, 10 years to tour and promote. Repeat!

hey at least we might have one on the way right now but after that you need to wait another 11 years for a new album

It'd be a perfect title for the record and wow, great call on the Warhol imagery ...

get it with Guns N' Roses in red above the chair and Stay Of Execution in black at the bottom of the chair and that is one badass cover

It's not going to be called Stay of Execution, the trademark expired a long time ago and GN'R have never trademarked album titles, so it was never likely to be an album title.

Besides which, SoE was always one of those "Axl pun" titles like "No Trickery" or "Not In This Lifetime." It's a specific reference to getting a stay of execution for New GN'R from the record company by putting out an album to placate them. The joke no longer applies, so I very much doubt that he'd use the title now.

I thought that title was connected to a letter Axl wrote to the Indo president about those drug mules that got a stay of execution but in the end got the death penalty? The copyright that title was for the press release?

At the time I thought it kind of reflected the Slash and Duff situation. Maybe Axl could forgive the drug mules and give them a stay of execution.

It’s a bad ass title though. Get Andy Warhol’s Electric Chair painting as the cover.

i really feel that Berlin could be on the new album and if soul monster is reworked it could be the next coma imo

I think the salary is bigger than the writing credits? Royalties depend on sales. If Chi Dem is ever on a Chevrolet ad Freese will make a ton.

I think Axl said at some point that he wanted the album to have the spirit of those that toured it. That’s why Ron was on it. But actually Ron played rhythm guitar on every track.

The Costanzo digital edit version is very different to the 00s album. It has a much more electronic element and Ron brought a 00s prog rock feel to it. Frank kind of rocked out the drums on the 5 singles.

Overall though I’ve realized that it’s Axl’s lyrics and vocals that really are the song. Even on Nothing or Eye On You there’s a song there. You could do acoustic versions with Izzy and it would fly.

i think frank and ron re recording on it slowed the process for about a year and a half and 2006 was the perfect time for release it would have sold more and axl was doing interviews around that time anyway it would have been viewed as a better album by the public and we would have had cd 2 a few years later

it's a shame that we will probably never get to hear completed versions of soul monster the general or seven

Great news.

Yeah...Stay of Execution doesn't really make sense with what's going on.

Had CD II miraculously come out right before the reunion, that would be a good title.

IMO....it'll either be 'Not In This Lifetime' or self titled.

The leaks of the past couple months should tide hardcores over in the meantime....

fuck yeah
