Regardless of new albums they put out, AC/DC have enough awesome songs in their back catalogue to make sure their live show will always kick ass. I'm definitely going to see them whenever they tour.

I really dig the song, and am so glad to hear "live" drums on the track. Too many of the CD songs are a little too heavy on the canned drums for my taste...
Yeah, the drums absolutely kick ass on this song, that's for sure.

Couldn't seem to find another thread about these guys, so I thought I'd start one up. Mainly because of the fact that I absolutely love their latest album Minutes to Midnight which I only recently discovered.
I know I'm a bit late getting into it, but I'd heard most of the singles on the radio which I liked, so I thought I'd buy the album, and I'm very impressed. Not one weak track on there at all, and I'm not really much of a fan of rap-rock either. But Minutes To Midnight It hasn't left my car cd player for the last few weeks.
I'm really wishing I went to see them when they toured Australia last year, Chris Cornell opened for them which would've been great to see too.

I love both bands, but if we're talking commercial success, it's Metallica hands down. Even their crappier albums (Loads/St Anger) sold quite well.
Megadeth are a bit hit and miss for me. They have allot of great songs, but there are an equal amount of pretty ordinary songs in there as well. And I pretty much like all of Metallica's stuff (yes, even the crappy St Anger) so they get my vote there too.

Yeah, shame it's not Lenny, I reckon it would've been a pretty good match, creatively and commercially.

I'm one of the biggest Metallica fans on this board, and even I'm not sure about that new song Cyanide.
It sounds like a bunch of different parts thrown in there with nothing really bridging them together.
Mind you, the audio isn't the best quality, so I'll reserve my judgment until I hear the studio version.
I also read from a recent album review that this was one of the weaker songs on the album.

The prospect of Lenny fronting them actually gets me excited about what new music VR could come up with. I just can't picture him singing any Scott stuff, he sounds nothing like him.
But how fuckin cool would it be to hear Slash ripping it up on Always On the Run, Fields Of Joy. They could even play Are You Gonna Go My Way, and that hidden gem off Duff's first solo album - The Majority.

I think it's a great hard rock/metal album along the lines of Skid Row's best material.

Metallica have always recorded great cover songs.
The thing that excites me the most about this though, is that usually their covers are recorded and thrown together pretty quickly, and judging by the quality of this their new album must be pretty fuckin good.
