GNR are so fucking lazy.

This has to be said.  From the clips I looked at here, they just looked like they were phoing it in.  And it just looked like such a boring, listless performance.

It's just kind of sad.  Other bands exist as just a touring band but even they seem to give a shit more than GNR at this point.

Not sure how you watch Slash and call that phoning it in. He is the only reason to see a GNR show.

It's not an election year, who cares what people think right now?

Look at things how they are. Of course the economy isn't hot, the world is now on the slow march out of a 18 month pandemic that globally is not fully over. You have new variants surging all over the world where they are not as far ahead as Western countries with vaccination and those variants are causing trouble in places like the US, where you starting to have this "pandemic of the unvaccinated" problem. Markets are rightly getting spooked because the road out of Covid isn't as rosy as they thought it was. This is going to be a slow two steps forward and one step back march out of this.

Criticise Joe "I Belive in Science" Biden for his handling of this since he took over. Or criticise him for his hawkish approach to Cuba. Or criticise him for sometimes appearing rambly and incoherent. Criticise the rushed pull out of Afghanistan.

But don't get worked by opinion polls and get sucked into the horse race. Look at hard stats for things that are actually happening and nail him for the things he does and says. Not what some Fox, CNN, or MSNBC poll says about what people think - that shit's for commentators to use to predict future elections, not a reason to dunk on him.

Good point.

James made this comment too. Where are you guys seeing this?  He’s holding steady around 50%.  His high was 56%, and he’s declined 3% points each quarter. He’s still 10 points higher than Trump was at this point. A 6 point drop 6 months into his Presidency doesn’t meet my definition of tanking, but I’m interested to see why you and James feel he’s on a downward projectory.

Look at his numbers on the economy. 45% feel the economy is in a good spot and 54% feel the economy is poor. Yeah, it is better than Trump but this is Biden who has 95% of the media and social media behind him.

Slash sounding very tasty here. Also this song is produced by former Guns producer Mike Clink.

Nah, they're assholes who didn't adhere to masking while flying and now have infected at least 6 people with COVID, but that's a far cry from rioting in the Capitol.  One is a federal crime, while the other is just douchey.  Not the same game, let alone same ballpark.

Nothing that happened on January 6th was remotely ok or acceptable. It’s just really hard to be taken seriously when people kept their head in the sand for 7 months, pulled it out for one day, then immediately put their head back in the sand are claiming they have an informed, let alone objective view of political violence in America and who has fostered and encouraged it.

The crime the people from Jan 6th was a lot to do with preventing democracy. The Texas clowns are preventing democracy.

Then when when Democrats filibustered for 4 years, they were stopping Democracy.  When Republicans do it, they're stopping democracy.  No, stopping Democracy is trying to overturn an election because you believe a bunch of unfounded conspiracies espoused by a man who couldn't articulate a coherent sentence if you held a gun to his childrens' heads.

You're losing me if you think in any way, shape or form what Texas Democrats are doing is akin to what vile pieces of shit did on January 6th, you're ignoring all the context, nuance and precedent Mitch is ignoring.

GOP members of Oregon's legislature did the same thing 2 years ago: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Oreg … %20Winters.  Were they stopping democracy?

Then the house or Senate can do the same at the federal level every time shit doesn’t go their way.

Jan. 6th was bad but it is way down the line on the worst shit that every happened in US history. It was not an armed insurrection. The only person shot was unarmed Ashli Babbit. It should have never happened and was allowed to happen. Jan 6th is an over hyped story but it was still a shot show. I would say maybe 100 folks had bad intentions and the others were just along for the ride.

One unarmed man in the Capitol that didn’t hurt anyone or destroy anything got 8 months in jail and the main charge was disrupting democracy.
