Classic Rock recently tracked down Beta Lebeis, personal manager of Axl Rose, who confirmed to us that Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy album "was finished before Christmas".
She added: "Everybody knows that."
Lebeis said Axl is currently "in negotiations" with unspecified parties to arrange to album's on-sale date.
However, Classic Rock believes that Chinese Democracy may not be 'released' in the traditional sense - at least not initially.
We suspect that GN'R may follow the Radiohead route of pay-as-you-like downloads. But we stress this has not been confirmed.
Another source close to the GN'R camp also suggested that Chinese Democracy may gain a conventional release in late summer, with a view to it becoming "a big Christmas album".
Nothing in the bolded part indicates that Beta said any of this. None of her words were twisted.
ok thanks for clearing that up. i didn`t read it again before posting... nevertheless... the bolded part is probably what made jarmo delete any links to the preview. the reasons don`t matter anyways.. it`s bullshit to remove things like that. it`s the first time in probably a year or so, i`ve gained a little more hope, that this CD might actually see the light of day in the future... why doesn`t he want it to be seen by the peope frequenting htgth? ut`s not like people wouldn`t get to see it anyways...

i saw this on mygnr and posted it on htgth... as you all know it was removed almost imediately.....:rolleyes:
i mean seriously.. WTF??? this is the most positive and promising thing i`ve read regarding gnr in the last year and he deletes it. are people really supposed to talk about a stolen bike nowadays?? that`s the main reason i rarely post on htgth anymore. there`s simply nothing to talk about. and when there is something to talk about, it gets deleted. it`s annoying to see, how a huge part of what`s happening in the gnr camp(and that really isn`t much anyways) simply never makes its way on htgth. people get to see it anyways.... i`m not going to bash jarmo or anything, but sometimes he really pisses me off!

His name is Dan Druff - if you put the first and second name together you get Dandruff. Bascially Dandruff is an itchy annoying skin disorder of the scalp. Dry skin keeps flaking off and often if you look on the shoulders and upper back of a persons clothes who have dandruff, you can see all these white specks - which is bascially the dead skin.

I think he might be referring to that Maine fiasco.
Anyone who had tickets to these shows knows it was ticket sales. Like I said, I could have had my choice of any seats until the day of the cancellation.
If it was to get the album out, why did the LA shows take place? Because tickets were sold there.
because there was a three week gap between those shows and the cali shows... you don`t just go there and play i guess, it takes preparation/rehearsals whatever. three weeks less time to work on the album, which i firmly believe the focus was on at that time. we don`t know what happened after it was finished... and as merck said in his letter to the fans:
Without the album out it does not make sense to do the 5 shows we have scheduled for January in isolation so they are being cancelled and we will focus on getting the album out.
as for them only being cancelled because of poor ticket sales.... i guess gnr wouldn`t have cancelled sell out shows.... but i don`t see it as the main reason.

it`s not about anyone misquoteing him. a guy claimed ron said the record company is holding up the release. in response to that ron said the record company doesn´t have chinese democracy. as madagas mentioned already: two different issues
the record company can obviously hold up the release without having the record in their hands...
