Lewis was ok, cinematography was good
Film still sucked.

Actually the Myspace hits pretty much jives with album sales: 4 million hits and about 4 million albums sold. I don't think they would have accomplished anything by not streaming it. If anything it probably helped.
And WWE pays for the music, not the other way around.
It really sucks seeing how much better this thing could've sold.
So that's why they pimp the CDs after every break and give tons of advertising? They do that after THEY pay for the music? I doubt that.
What does 4 million hits have to do with 4 million albums sold? Streaming something at low-fi that people would have downloaded in hi-fi to check out if they wanted to? I think people heard the first 2 tracks, didn't hear the SCOM riff, and forgot about it.
Seems like a waste of money.

Axl was really dumbfounded at why Hilfiger reacted so crazily, and over so little.
Rumor was from just about everyone there, that when it finally registered with Axl what was going on, Axl was raring up to break him in half, and by that point Hilfiger's own security was already escorting him away from Axl before he committed suicide.
Yeah, according to Axl.
We all know that there's 3 sides to every story.
And "committed suicide" probably isn't the most accurate description of what most people have done when they messed with Axl. Let's just be realistic here, please.

Well, it would have been different if it was Chuck Norris or Mr. T, but come on. Tommy Hilfiger?

Didn't Hilfiger pretty much prove that Axl is all bark?

You could see it was in trouble when they put it all up for free on myspace and you could see the vastly decreasing play counts from track to track. Each had significantly fewer than the last until there were several songs with very unimpressive play-counts even if ChiDem and Better had a ton of streams.
I wonder how much they paid for that. Seems like they could've gotten money for the tracks if that's the route they would take.
The only time I remember CD having an uptick in sales since the release was the week they paid WWE to have it as the official song of their pay per view.
Just so, so incompetent. It wouldn't have taken a genius to promote this album and made some serious cash. I really figured money would've healed all the bad blood, bitterness, and chaos, but I guess not.
Axl might tell us that it was all the record company's ineptitude and "business as usual" mode, but he didn't do himself/them any favors.
Mick Wall said in his last interview that Axl was strapped for cash around 06, which is why he did those tours. I'm really starting to doubt those claims, especially in light of Axl's recent inaction.

I believe that's already been done.

BUT, what kinda clubs are we talking? 2000 seat venues? 5000? They'd run sellouts easy. Tons of major acts are selling out 5000 seat venues, and the shows are better for it.
Everyone assumes Axl would have a hard time swallowing his pride and playing anything less than stadiums, I don't know this is the case. It's plausible, but I dunno. He knew what he was doing when he chose to not promote CD. If he truly wanted to return to that status, he'd have done things a lot different.
Another question I have is -- how many years does Axl have left of performing? He's already winded and having a hard time singing songs and just looks goofy running around. It's only downhill from here, and from what I've heard, he ducks off stage for a good amount of time between songs already. What's next, lipsynching?

Why does James Lofton's post remind me so much of Spinal Tap's ill-fated US tour?
