He wouldn’t, cause that would be universally stupid. The Taliban knows Biden’s botched withdrawal has handed them thousands of US citizens as leverage. If Biden can get the people who want out, out, the Taliban will let them leave. They don’t want the US there, and the quicker we’re out, the better for them. What you’re talking about is an escalation of force, which would result in hundreds if not thousands of casualties, many of them American. This is a powder keg, and the US and allies are essentially fucked at the moment. If Biden gets everyone out by end of month, this whole fiasco will be forgotten and the media will return to talking about the nuclear explosion that happened at the Capitol in January.

IF, but if 8/31 happens and the Taliban didn’t keep their word, and we still have folks trying to get out, there will be blood shed. What an epic cluster fvck. This whole admin is coming off as totally I competent. I do think Trump would set the tone that we are leaving but on our time line. If we need more than 8/31, we will use it. They would agree. Biden comes off as weak. So they will test him.

How the Afghan pull out will end when we are forced to leave by the Taliban leaving many innocent behind. Then watching the rise of crazy Islamic terrorism.

Meanwhile in Alabama, Trump held a rally on a rainy summer night.

Sounds like a serious lack of coordination between allied forces and frustration with US top brass and their handling + mission objectives.

Awesome insight. Thank you for sharing.

There's a reason Axl sings on Black Leather and Pretty Tied Up.

It's like when your ex-girlfriend comes back after cheating on you or something...she's going to be made to prove her worth lol.

The first order will be playing all the CD songs in the set to legitimise them.

The second order will be no reunion album for the first five years.

The third order will be picking the song that most epitomises why you left in the first place and choosing it as the single, and then making you take credit for that.

I will make you prove to me that you love me, so hard, that you will never dare leave my ass again.

Haha, so funny Monkey, and so true!

Just saw it. Incredibly sad… they need to send troops in to secure the fvcking airport and stop this shit show.

There are two parts to the airport. Civilian and military. The US has troops securing the parts of the airport they need but it's a fluid situation. They do already have thousands of troops there securing the airport though.

Yes they have some but that was a US military plane wasn’t it? Looked like a C-17. Doesn’t look like fuck all is secured. Jesus this is the worst look for the US on an international level that I can remember.

The recording of appetite was not the writing of appetite though.

The writing of those songs happens when they were not apart but in the "hell house" era and on the infamous seattle tour and similar bonding experiences.

I get what you guys are saying that they arn't 21.

But I also think if you want to capture some organic energy you need to act somewhat organically. Left to their own Slash will send Axl a CD full of completed guitar songs missing vocals - which makes it hard to hit lyrical inspiration and Slash will get a CD from Axl of piano or computer compositions where all he can do is play solos around the existing structures.

Of course they can make great stuff that way but it's not a recipe for either to push the other out of his comfort zone which is kinda what was happening when they hung out and blended styles.

Here's one of the main obstacles to that....

They're not genuine friends....and haven't been in over two decades.

This isn't Soundgarden where you can pick right up with your buddies, iron out a few disagreements, and then jump in the studio....take a break, and Chris and Ben go on a radio tour hanging out and working on material together.

Their issues weren't as bad....and there wasn't nearly as much money at stake.

What happens if Axl and Slash get together and it becomes a repeat of the 94 Snakepit demos?

I don't think they're willing to risk it all to "go back to their roots".

Duff is friends with Slash. Duff is friends with Axl. He is the glue that holds them together.
