Anyone here fans? My favourite show on TV at the moment, just a well written series with a great cast. Anyone have any theories on who framed Mike?

Anybody here fans? I admit, other than a few of her radio singles I generally didn't listen to much of her stuff, but I've always appreciated Adele for her pure ability and the fact that she's the definition of a true artist who performs live and writes her own material, which is obviously a rare thing for a massive mainstream artist, including the fact that she's used artists like Chris Stapleton and Tom Waits as inspiration and influences for her song writing.

With that being said, I downloaded her new album last night and upon first listen I fell in love with it. Such a powerful album. "Remedy" is my personal favourite so far. I'll be purchasing it on vinyl tomorrow.

Welcome back Axl4Life. Have you come to join us again waiting for another album that probably won't be released?

Good to see you're still a part of the resident "Old Guns" Atari. 5

As long as there's some decent developments for us to discuss and speculate over (and there seems to have been more over the past few months than there's been in years) I'll stick around.

On a side note, if it's possible could one of the administrators possibly change my name to Axl4Life? I clearly made the account years ago (you'll see it's never been active so it's definitely mine 16 ) but made another account going as A4L2.0 as I wanted a new name to conincide with the launch of this site since it evolved from Roses of Velvet, but I'd like to go back to my roots if that's cool. 19

Anyone watching Survivor Series tonight? I expect the obvious to happen with Roman Reigns finally capturing the WWE Championship, although there's always that part of me that hopes creative will try pull something out of the hat that fans don't see coming.

The whole tournament was a mess and a wasted opportunity. So much hope there was after the title got made vacant, then they immediately turned it into a mess. They couldn't have just put Lesnar, Taker, Cena or even Wyatt in there? Silly.

Reigns feels too inevitable. I'd like to see Ambrose win, but I'm worried he'd align with the authority (destroying his character) or lose to Sheamus.

The Sheamus thing is worrying me too. It would be typical of creative for Reigns to win and then Sheamus cash in. He's been demoted to lower mid card status, getting outsmarted by Wayne Rooney for christ sakes. 16  It would be absolutely pointless to give him the title with no build whatsoever. I really like Dean Ambrose as a character but it's a pity he's been relatively handicapped by the PG image that WWE portrays. The limitations that he is confined to makes him appear too corny I think.

Roman Reigns to his credit has come along leaps and bounds this year, it's just that he's the obvious choice and the fact that it's no big secret that the powers that be want him to be "the guy" that fans won't take to him. Cesaro should have won that qualifying match, then Roman could have turned heel and cost him the finals against Ambrose. Roman turns heel, and has a top class feud with fan favourite Cesaro elevating both talents. Give Ryback the Intercontinental title, and let him have a good run with it meanwhile babyface Ambrose battles the Authority with Kevin Owens being Triple H's new hand picked guy. Everybody wins.

#25 Re: Guns N' Roses » NOTHING TO SEE HERE!!! » 500 weeks ago

Haven't posted in this forum in years, and lost interest in Guns N' Roses after Chinese Democracy was released and all the hype surrounding the band died down. From what I've been reading over the past few weeks reunion rumours have been running rampant ever since Axl and Slash buried the hatchet so to speak. I always had a small glimmer of hope for them ever since Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels put aside their issues. 16

Personally though, I think all this talk of a reunion is incredibly premature. Like most of you, I'm ecstatic regarding the fact that Axl and Slash are on speaking terms again, although I don't think there's been any concrete evidence whatsoever that a reunion is imminent. I think all of this stuff  regarding the guy that's in touch with My GNR and Duff's wife's drunken friend spurting small inconsequential pieces of information is deja vu of 2006 where we were all reading and discussing reports of a guy at a Playstation convention recording audio snippets of a "brand new Guns N' Roses song" on a crappy mobile/cell phone. 16

What I do believe is in the works though could be a boxset marking the bands anniversary featuring unreleased material from the band over the years and maybe a documentary of some sort featuring input from all members of the band. Slash is a work horse and absolutely loves moving forward and continuously releasing new material. Once one record finishes, he's thinking of the next, and obviously that doesn't fit in with Axl's aspirations. Maybe if things continue to progress the way they have been with Axl and Slash, we may get Axl appear at a Slash show for a rare one off appearance of a song or two, but I think Axl is happy to fade off into the sunset and live in private. Just my two cents.

#28 Re: Guns N' Roses » Axl On Kimmel Oct 24th, Live Interview! » 660 weeks ago

I thought the interview was meh...it was neither backwards or forwards for me. Oh, and instead of reading through all the pages, am I the only one who noticed Axl looked very uncomfortable when Kimmel asked the question "Where does Axl disappear to in between songs?" No mention of oxygen breaks, although I guess I don't know what I expected him to say to that..maybe admittedly make light of it I don't know...but change clothes..really? Check setlists? Really? Haha

Although she collaborated with them on the Hunger Games soundtrack, she doesn't hold a candle to "The Civil Wars." Now there's real talent that should have the popularity that Swift has.

#30 Re: The Sunset Strip » Ghostbusters III (Murray is IN!) » 661 weeks ago

I think it would be a big mistake on Bill's part to do it anyways, especially now at  this stage of his career. Not because of his age but because, he has completely reinvented himself as an actor, thriving in more dramatic based roles, and at the ripe old age of 62, in 2012, that is quite an accomplishment. I say props to him to for staying away. No matter how good (or bad) Ghostbusters 3 is, the GB legacy is already set in stone. Don't fuck with it. Let the franchise R.I.P. (pun intended)
