I think the cover with Ice-T dressed as a cop was a pretty key and controversial cover.

I absolutely love the first two albums, s/t, and Toxicity. After that.... eh.
If we could get back to that, I'd be happy.

Exactly. Vinnie and that broad that claimed to be Dime's girlfriend have cashed in big time on Dime's death. I say claimed, because I saw an interview before his death where he called her a childhood friend.
Who would've thought that Phil would be the biggest person?

I'm not the biggest fan of Vinnie Paul. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Pantera, and I could not even begin to imagine what it would be like to watch my brother shot dead in front of me.
The thing that I don't like is (IMO) it seems like Vinnie has kind of capitalized on Dime's name. He's released that Dime clothing line, and he's done various endorsements under Dime's name. It just seems kind of wrong.
Also, I hate that he won't talk to Phil. If you watch the Behind the Music, you can see it written all over Phil that he's really fucked up, but Vinnie still won't have anything to do with him. I obviously didn't know Dime personally, but the impression I get is that he would've been the type of person that would've wanted everything patched and mended.
That's just my 2 cents. Don't flame me.

I've always loved Sublime. They've always had a douchey, frat-boy following, but I don't really think it's right to judge a band by who listens to them.
I think Michaels' version is more of an insult to the original than anything.

I made it through 35 seconds before the feeling of being raped in the ears became too much.

Black Crowes - Thorn In My Pride

There's a new book out by this guy who was on the 75 tour with them. He was talking on the radio the other morning, and I was shocked to hear some of these stories about how this was Page's band, and NOBODY in the band had any say but him. I'm surprised Plant didn't quit.
