Cool, he's still talking by the way, he just explained the meaning of Catcher in the Rye.

I wouldn't mind seeing him back to be honest, most of the auditioning or suggested singers were terrible, even VR looked nervous continuing without him.

Then I have to summize that Axl puts way too much faith in his management if he believes what they tell him and they have hidden agendas.
Maybe...but he did go and get Azoff and Gould didn't he? He could just be passing the buck, of course.

So that whole open letter Axl did that BH was using him to be in GNR then was a lie?
It looked like he was insinuating that's what Merck told him...he seemed to be cool towards Bucket. Merck sounds like he was a bit of an ass kisser...

It must be Axl...why wouldn't it be? It's not like it is huge PR, he is actually talking to the fans and it's a cool gesture. Maybe with the release of the album he felt like it was a bit more safe to speak rather than getting endless "when's it coming out" questions. We all know he reads the forums anyway.
Personally his answers were cool enough for me, he doesn't need to answer everything but just talking a bit is a good thing.

There Was a Time, both Robin and Buckethead...they work together quite well on the album, I feel, but this one takes the cake.

Great post, very interesting to hear Bob Ludwig's opinion. I read on another board somewhere that a lot of the engineers involved in mastering and the "loudness" wars hate it, but are pressured by labels and producers.
Another album mastered loud is "californication" . I'm pretty thrilled Axl didn't do it.

That's a bit of a stretch...
But I highly doubt that Slash would get in with Ozzy anyway, Ozzy's guitar player now and forever will be Zakk Wylde.
Maybe Ozzy will get them to jam together for a bit before saying something along the lines of "It was great stuff, but it didn't sound like Ozzy Osbourne"...
