I think it closed like 3 or 4 times. For some reason it keeps coming back.

Yes, I read through a few of those threads and tried desperately to just skip to what Marc was saying. Every other comment was "My guy rules, your guy sucks!" over and over and over again.
It probably won't work, but I am glad Marc is sticking it to certain people. Those are his friends and it must be hard to listen to people you have never met diss the people you care about.

I am thinking I might start carrying a gun. Had someone shot back perhaps maybe only 5 die instead of 12. Since I can control what I do and not the crazies, perhaps a gun is a good idea.
I doubt that would have helped in a dark theatre with no clear view of your target, plus being surrounded by all the chaos. More people may have been hit in the crossfire.
Guns can help you protect your home, but in public it's a bit different. Your attacker always the element of surprise.

Well he gave his reasons for posting there, saying he wanted to try and end the hatred between Axl and Slash fans, as well as the hatred some fans seem to feel for them personally.
I guess he really doesn't have that problem here, as most people seem to get along. And most people here don't seem to hate either Axl or Slash, just disagree with certain decisions they have made at certain times. It doesn't get too ugly here.

It's shame he didn't come here instead. I think he would have gotten a lot better questions.
#26 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » DUFF MCKAGAN Joins SLASH On Stage In Seattle » 675 weeks ago
It's always so great to see them together.
Not to sound like I'm a proponent of Faldor's joke...but I do actually find it a little surprising. As I do question the real reason behind VR not regrouping. Seems something is going on. Perhaps rather than personality conflict it's simply that they just don't agree on musical directions but it's all in a friendly way rather than aggressive.
But i've noticed in Slash's pro-Appocolyptic Love interviews he's been pretty blunt about how much more he's enjoying this band than his other bands - and now he's mapped out a year tour followed by Slash solo album 3 - can't see VR getting much done....
But it's a shame cos I love Duff and Matt with Slash....I wish Slash's solo band was done with them...but I guess they're too big stars and it's really just Slash's own thing.
But you think Myles, Slash, Duff, Matt would be greater by far than the current Slash band (no offence to them). But to me Solo 1 + 2 could have been done as the reboot of VR with new singers.
I would imagine Slash likes this band better. It's the same situation as Axl, they are his employees not his equals. In VR and GNR, that was not the case. This band allows him to call the shots.
Plus Duff said before that he was looking for a singer that would dwarf Scott, and Myles can't do that. I think that is where part of the problem lies. They are looking for different things.

Not really. I don't see where he has benefited from it, as in made money or become more famous as a result. Usually those who benefit from train wreck status are people who get some kind of work out of it, like Lindsay Lohan or Charlie Sheen.
He could benefit from it if he's do a reality show and make an ass of himself like Adler did. But I don't think he would. He's not the type.

Charlie Sheen has more talent as an actor/comedian in 2012 than Axl does as a singer/songwriter. His show has already been picked up for like 100 episodes or something. The guy makes a joke about Axl and people wanna dimish his popularity and his talent just because he's a bit crazy?
Axl in 2012 is popular for his past and for his antics. Sheen is popular for his recent professional accomplishments as well as his antics. One is "washed up" in the eyes of the public, the other is still very much a pop culture icon. That's just that way it IS
Please. Sheen is popular for his breakdown and the fact that he is on drugs. People love a train wreck. As far as his show goes, it's the same thing that happened when Aston appeared on 2 and 1/2 Men. Everyone tuned in the first week to see what would happen. Then it dropped off the radar. Anger Management got shit reviews from almost every critic.
And I doubt you'd be defending Charlie had he cracked a joke about Slash.

Slash's opinions on GNR/Axl/VR change by the year. I think a lot of it depends on money and factors like that. His solo stuff can only go so far there.
#30 Re: Guns N' Roses » so what did i miss? » 675 weeks ago
No, Canter said they couldn't work together well enough to get it released and agree on things. Like what goes in, what gets left out, etc. At least that's what I got out of it. I don't think money is an issue.
