Did anyone read this book? Any thought on whether its worth buying or how the original members responded to this book?

Anything less than  "The Rolling Stones" era style press release will be a huge disappointment. .He should have some fun with this ,

I like Halloween (or eve) for an announcement. If they get this right it will be out before the holidays. We are heading into some wacky times...He should finally fit  in....

Stone Temple Pilots

Scott Weiland's vocal performances have been called everything from 'bedraggled and bushed' (The New York Times) to erratic (www.livedaily.com) since reuniting with Stone Temple Pilots in May for a 65-date reunion tour.

Fortunately, there was no hint of the inner band turmoil or poor performance Sunday at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre.

There was speculation as fans waited an hour and 20 minutes after openers Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's eardrum-busting 45-minute set of blistering dark British rock and surprising shots of gospel and country blues. By 9:30 p.m. rumors circulated that STP's bus had only just arrived, while fans debated Weiland's sobriety.

Three minutes later, the group hit the stage to the slow bluesy grooves of 'Big Empty,' a favorite from 1994's 'The Crow' soundtrack.

The sing-a-longs kept coming with the low-end riffs of 'Wicked Garden' and 'Big Bang Baby' as psychedelic images rolled on three screens that flanked the stage.

Weiland must have sensed it would be a good night. 'What a wonderful audience,' he said early on. 'I can feel it already.'

He prowled the stage in jeans, a leather vest, and scarves, his voice impeccably sustaining long notes amid a slightly muddy sound mix (at least near the front of the stage). Channeling Jim Morrison and Mick Jagger, he wriggled and danced in circles. He leaned back to back with bassist Robert DeLeo and appeared to conjure a solo from guitarist Dean DeLeo with outstretched arms.

The band scored on most of its hits from 'Vasoline' to 'Lady Picture Show' to 'Sour Girl.' But it was its earliest radio staples, 'Creep' and the Grammy winning 'Plush' played 40 minutes into the set that had grown men hugging and belting the lyrics.

Weiland stepped off the stage and walked down front, smiling as he sang 'Interstate Love Song' with the fans in the general admission section at the front of the stage.

The group wound its set to a close with its longtime show stopper 'Sex Type Thing.' Weiland finally started to grow a bit hoarse as he yelled through his megaphone. 'Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart' ended the regular set, and the band returned (this time with Weiland draped in a poncho and fedora) reaching back to 1992's 'Dead and Bloated,' the lead track off its first album. As the crowd cheered, Weiland, the DeLeos, and drummer Eric Kretz gathered at the front of the stage - all smiles at the resounding chants of 'STP.'

Leather and lipstick, downtown blues
Fools all give him love that he couldn't use
So, he opened fire in London with his New York City band
Left em all for dead just like they planned
The Devil raised a good boy, look out below.

Built his mama a rocket ship to rock
over their heads
Looking down imagine
what he said
No accounting for the band
and why would I bother
just strap em in
and see where it takes em
ain't no guarantees in rock roll
ain't no deal thats bulletproof
fearless in the wild west
fearless in the face of all
gave up my ego and faced the world
looked at that girl and said
you wanna come?

as ridiculous as everything else they put upon us?

No But Beta should contact me about her...The last number I have for Ax does not work although I am dreaming active every night, really wanted to tell him that story myself. Saw him in his inner sanctum saw the machines starting up saw a need to hurry what I am doing along. i have her phone and current address and reason to believe the family would like to know what is up with her reason to believe that you can't change the past but the future is ours... Time not to isolate, time to give a damn......when people go missing... time not to let people who support you disappear..on that note looking forward to seeing Scott soon. without the band that was to cool to talk to me....Bullshit on the being cool time to be real. Time to pick up the phone the nineties are over and the new world is upon us... Like a rat without a maze, I been standing still for days... to the gypsy with blond hair I think I will die my pink so you can see me.

After Mr. Rose, and Mr. Cobain the industry changed for all future writers forever. It's gridlocked and all the truth in the world can't seem to set it free. So we sit in these circles going in circles, nice elimination of a generation this is our creative genius. speculation. IT would be nice if something got out.

None of them are saints they are all meaner than rattlesnakes with aids (can't speak for the new guys except I understand Paul to be an idiot and Non guitar player who could not change tunings when he replaced Slash)...

Slash can be a total SOB. his sensitivity level to other peoples situations and feelings is non exsitant. They all spend time preserving lies and illusions, so much so they have been stuck all of them for years. Perhaps Scott finally figured out JUST how much was being hidden, not that he does not preserve a few secrets himself. I am not even close to any of them and I know Dozens. . They are all so caught up in what was they can't move forward. They are missing West energy not Dells Not Izzy's, and finally I am on a board I can say that without it being deleted.

Which is why I suggested doing something else. Ten years at the Baked Potato all I saw is a lot of great musicians die having produced no music. Randy Castio the most tragic example of this.

The reason i think Ax would be so effective at doing this type of cause is because NO ONE around him would be able to bring the level of sensitivity to it he can, NOR would anyone else need or have a right to be involved, it is not contaminated by the past of Guns and Roses and all the hangers on that I think are more dangerous to Ax than most people could/would ever speculate.. A whole new direction....That could eventually tie in with the music IF he wants. It seems to me that if you think life is only fulfilling when it goes according to what you think is right it is a slap in the face to God, OR you think your God one of the two...He has a free will, the future is not set, only God can set the future and he needs none of our help to alter or adapt or change it at any time he wants. They all need to get a grip.

The depth of feeling in his lyrics made me think if Axl ever loaned his voice to a worthy cause how powerful he would be. My own personal idea of a cause A&E type show he could produce narrate runs towards traumatized abused children's treatment.

Any one else have any ideas what he could do to turn his thoughts energy away from Album, posse?

Sometimes the best way to get something stuck to move is to help someone else? Sure would be an audience with incredible loyalty. To my knowledge no one else has ever done this type of thing (confidentiality),
