I'm unvaccinated. I  caught it back in March (I think, never tested). Felt a bit crummy for 2 days, stayed home for a week to be sure like a rational, responsible adult  and was back to full health within 6 days.  Definitely felt way worse in the past with regular flus and colds. Get your endless boosters though every 4 months or whatever fuckery they are recommending these days. People might wanna look at lifestyle choices and healthy living as a more viable long term approach rather than endlessly injecting themselves with poison that doesn't work worth a shit.  Crazy how everyone who's pumped full of poison seem to struggle getting over this thing. It's almost as if......... Then again I'm an 'anti vax conspiracy theorist".

This is tougher than it sounds. Obviously I could list a bunch of favorite songs but it would be like 20-30 songs. To make a top 5 or even a top 10 would be pretty hard. It's hard to even single out a couple of really big guns.

I think I have to categorize them.

1. Songs you play to people who say GN'R sucks:
-Locomotive
-My Michelle

I tried to come up with a third song but I think maybe that's it? You can't call any of those songs boring, pretentious, gay or that Axl sounds like the neighbourhood cat.

Over the years I've always noticed that Civil War really seems to be the one GnR song non fans and even those who say they suck can agree on and say is a great song. If I were to show a non fan a GnR song it would be Civil war and then possibly Nightrain.

4. Songs you play when you just want to get drunk and kick in a window:
-Jungle
-Nightrain
-YCBM

I would add It's So easy to this. Also you're right about Jungle.  in terms of firing up a crowd, Welcome to the Jungle is THE song. It gets played regularly at sporting events to this day and does the trick every single time.

5. Party songs:
-PC
-Used to Love Her
-KOHD

I can't say I agree with KOHD or Used to Love here being in this category. I'd pick songs like Rocket Queen and Mr. Brownstone instead of those two.

SCOM is their crowning achievement…perfect in all ways…5 dudes nailing their assignments…same with WTTJ but I like sappy love songs!

Faves…Civil War Estranged Coma Locomotive Sweet Child and …My Michelle! Your daddy works in porno now that mommy’s not around…too fucking good!

I would listen to the argument that SCOM is their crowning achievement, mostly because it's the greatest guitar solo ever in my opinion.

I don't care about any new single unless it's something they've written and recorded from complete scratch since they reunited.

#25 Re: The Sunset Strip » Most Recent Movie You've Seen » 171 weeks ago

I watched a movie on Netflix the other night called Metal Lords. About two high school kids trying to start a metal band and win battle of the bands. It's only 90 minutes or so and was enjoyable enough. GnR's version of Since I Don't Have you is in the soundtrack along with Metallica, AV7,  Pantera, Black Sabbath etc etc.  It's worth watching if ya have a bit of time to kill.

#26 Re: Guns N' Roses » Favorite Guns N'Roses Songs? :) » 171 weeks ago

It depends on the day I guess. I love the obvious ones like Jungle and SCOM, Rocket Queen is killer but I find that to be two songs in one and I like the final 3 minutes infinitely better than the first half. It's So Easy is pure attitude. YCBM is what hooked me onto GnR. Coma is epic but you don't always wanna listen to it.  dead Horse to me is their most classic rock sounding song. Nightrain would probably be the one song I'd show to a newbie who had never listened to them before.  Civil war is so badass. If I had to choose though with a gun to my head it would probably be SCOM, but in all honesty November Rain is their crowning achievement.  Honestly I don't know. How do you pick just one? yikes

#27 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns n Roses=a joke » 171 weeks ago

It's clear the hold up is Axl. I think what they should do is, Slash and Duff should peace out and recruit Sorum and then find a rhythm guitarist .... Izzy maybe. Then start a new band with some new singer. I don't know, just some side project or something. They could even call it The Project.  Who knows it could turn into something pretty cool.

Antivax...literally means someone who does not agree with vaccination ...  but whatever lol

Peace...I literally don't care if u got the vaccine or what your thoughts are about it...u brought it up, not me lol

Step off your pedestal bud. You're the one who said "Not another anti vaxxer good lord" as if those who chose not to get it are lesser than you.  You clearly care that people didn't want this junk and clearly view yourself a s a better person than those who didn't get it. You have how many shots and had covid bad? I had zero shots and dealt with a mild cold. The Anti vax term that the hardcore pro covid vax crowd has adopted during this covid era to try and shame and belittle those who actually made a well informed decision  to not receive the covid vaccine is just lazy and pathetic.  Did ya ever stop to think why so many people who had no issue with vaccines prior to this suddenly said "whoa hold the fuck on" when it came to this one? No you didn't, you just bought the spoon fed narrative that getting it makes you a good person and declining it makes you scum. Keeping on Boosting in the "free world" bud.

As for me bringing it up... the thread is literally called Covid 19 and is 112 pages long before I commented, but whatever, I guess I brought it up 14
