I have read somewhere that gnr owes the reconrd company 1 more album & after that, i guess they are free to release music. When gnr is released from the record company, i'm curious what they will do.
Will they regularly release music? Can they use old recording sessions or does the record company not allow that? Who knows...
they can use old recording sessions but i think they need to pay the old record company since the record company were the ones that paid for them to be in the studio. cause if GNR themselves paid for studio time during UYI sessions then that music would 100% belong to GNR cause they paid for it. do you get a better understanding of that?

since the very start of fortus's time in gnr he has always been a bullshitter so i don't believe anything he says
We interviewed him years ago, he is a stand up guy. You need to be less the minus four guy and stop firing out misinformed opinions.
i'm sure he is a nice dude but almost everything he has said has either been false or just straight up lies i'm not saying it's his fault maybe that's what management want him to say but it does get annoying when he confirms a new album or denies a song that exists saying that it doesn't exist and for us fans it does get frustrating we just want a straight up answer that's all

On new material;
“Some of the stuff come(s) from nothing and some of the stuff is stuff that we’ve been working on that were ideas that were already there,” guitarist Richard Fortus revealed in November. “Some of the stuff Slash did — it was the beginning of the seed of the song that’s been around for a while.”
I think by this time Slash was already back in the fold and (speculation from my part follows) Axl may have commissioned Fortus to look back into the 94-96 vault (that Axl has described as "the meanest riffs since Aerosmith's The Rocks") and sort what was worth working on.
Allegedly there were almost-finished songs back then, so it may be those + the other song ideas.

If The World, never really like it and still don't
this kinda exposes the fact that on the album if the world has auto-tune and axl's vocals on this at the start sound off key and are not auto-tuned

I’m starting to not like the idea of redoing songs that were likely redone 10 ten times already. The spirit of the songs is beaten to death. The new group has had 3 and a half years to write their own songs. Let the Chinese Democracy sessions be done. Either release a box set for the freaks like us or release the songs as an Axl Rose solo album.
right on man

elevendayempire wrote:So a lot of the talk about the writing of this album focuses on Slash, Duff, Axl and Fortus. But I'm curious as to whether the other members will be contributing. Dizzy and Melissa have plenty of song writing credits outside of GN'R (Frank, as far as I can tell from a skim of the ASCAP database, doesn't). On Chinese Democracy, Pitman (whose slot Melissa occupies) and Brain had plenty of writing credits. So why's no-one asked Dizzy, Melissa and Frank whether they're contributing song ideas?
I could see Dizzy contributing to Atlas or Perhaps, Huge too. Melissa was in on the remixes so she could be re-doing Pitman keyboard parts. Brain did programming or something. Maybe Frank will do a drum solo?
lol frank drum solo is that even possible?

#28 Re: Guns N' Roses » New Album Thread » 290 weeks ago
There is no new album and will not be one in the foreseeable future please lock this thread. Not because I don’t think it’s worth talking about but when folks see it they think oh real new album news, at the very least change the name to potential or possible new album please
the thread doesn't say new album confirmed so just leave it the way it is
#29 Re: Guns N' Roses » Tracks missing from the leaked CD's » 290 weeks ago
BTW, just to confirm: what has actually leaked? Rough Mixes 1-4 CDs, plus a few odds and ends like Going Down, right?
19 cds very hard to put them in an exact order but every cd from the chinese era locker leaked

hey at least we might have one on the way right now but after that you need to wait another 11 years for a new album
They’ve probably been working on this one since 2008 if not before. Just one more re-record to go. Multiple albums all on different 10 year timelines. Soon AI will be making GNR albums in VR and the fans will be just one consciousness experiencing them simultaneously.
11 = II
Do you think we will ever get The General?
