Valid points above but I agree with slashsfro....
Kamala wins.
Trump had it in the bag months ago but just an avalanche of shit since.
Choosing Vance prevented me from holding my nose and voting for him.
Peter Thiel's fuck toy does not belong within a light year of the presidency...much less an 80 year old heartbeat.
Polling isn't anywhere near as reliable as it was back in the day. Having said that, some of the exit polling coming out of various states show the small potential for a Kamala landslide taking shape.
They will contest the election whether it's a tie or a Reagan style landslide. The culture war demands it...and so does the grift.
I want the GOP to torch the MAGA grift machine to the ground post election and rebuild from the ground up.
Yeah, Biden dropping out was the worst thing that happened to Trump. If they lose, it’ll mostly be a referendum on how shitty Trump is as a candidate and their message. A lot of this has absolutely nothing to do with Harris, Democrats or even progressive issues . My personal opinion as a whole the probably moderate or slightly leans right when it comes to social issues.
They also need to find better people to deliver the message. I mean Vance and the
Haitians eating cats bullshit , how does that even pass the smell test?
They also have a problem attracting women voters at this point. Part of this is Trump. Part of this is the message that comes out( Again some of the Vance stuff didn’t help at all) and a part of this is the abortion issue. Whatever your feelings on it, it seems that the GOP is in opposition to what the general consensus is. I mean these initiatives either keep on passing (or fail) in these states (red or blue).
Yeah, they need to do a reckoning and just figure out a strategy that appeals to all regardless of gender or race. Alienating almost every non -white voting block isn’t a winning strategy. For whatever one thought of W, he did try to broaden the voter base and be inclusive . They seemed to have gone back to the stone ages with Trump.
Also not noted here but if he loses on the GOTV on Tuesday (basically the non early vote), he’s only got himself to blame. He installed some neophyte to run it while dismantling the state infrastructure that had been set up.

You guys crack me up with some of this stuff. I’ll say the opposite and say Harris wins handily.
Oh anyone complaining about Harris being a shitty candidate hasn’t been paying attention at all to Trump for the last 2-4 mos.

Of course he did!
Sounds great. You gotta wonder what his problem is about Guns.
He has no desire or motivation to write and record new material. It’s been evident for a while.

Gotta agree. He sounded quite good on this. Yeah some of the parts you could kind of tell are processed but you know what I’m not that bothered by it since he’s in his 60s now.
I might end up listening to this one more than some of the leftovers.

Love these. Instant and potent nostalgia fuel.
I also miss the old cable guides we used to get every month from the cable company in the 70s and 80s.... essentially TV Guides but only for HBO and Showtime. They'd also have pics and sometimes interviews in them.

I remember these! They were all glossy unlike TV guides at the time which still had those newsprint pages. There was as section in those old cable guides where they'd have a grid schedule. Also they had previews of almost everything, I remember reading WWF PPV previews.
As a kid, I liked reading the summaries and they had pictures and it was free and a good time waster. Think there may have been a monthly crossword thing in these guides, not sure as it's been decades since I thought about these things. Thanks for the memory lane flashback!

#27 Re: Guns N' Roses » The General and Monsters » 62 weeks ago
Does anyone here still listen to either of these songs?
It's funny how we FINALLY have The General and I don't even listen to it.
No, I don't . I've listened to Paradise City more the past few months than either of those two new tunes.
The problem is that they are just not very good/or catchy songs and once the novel and historical value of the songs (being part of the CD sessions) passes. You don't really go back to them for whatever reasons (that the song doesn't appeal to you).
I mean I'm glad they finally got released. Oh you can also use the same rationale for any of the leftovers that have been released in the past few years. Once you get past the curiosity level, there is just something missing with all those tunes.

lol, I swear they pump out one of those type of articles once a year just to show the fanbase that they are doing something.
Ultimately as we have learned over the years it’s basically nothing but lip service.
#29 Re: Guns N' Roses » Axl Rose Official Website » 68 weeks ago
Gotta love Team Brazil for providing unintentional humor all the time.
Why on earth has he chosen this point in time to finally establish his own personal website when there is nothing going on to promote?
Visiting the site itself, there’s nothing there and it’s a really dull site. I mean they can’t even give an effort on the “about “ section . I think there’s like 2 sentences on that section.

That level of impact can never happen again. We live in an era of internet, smartphones, a thousand cable channels, and short attention spans
Those days are lost now where a show can cross race, age, socioeconomic status and just kind of be something people can rally around and talk about. Ditto with album releases as events.
I think we should all be happy to have experienced it (face it we are all the same age here) before it got lost and extinct to the ravages of time and progression.
