The one thing that stands out in these vids is that Axl is having a blast out there.
And that's all we really need to worry about here. All 3 seem to be having a ball. The hugs at the end of the gigs seem genuine, there are conversations, jokes and big laughs. Sure millions of $$$ lubes that up nicely but I think these boys are back, happy to be back and probably more than a little stunned and excited about just how fucking great they sound and how excited people are to see them.
With no coke and booze in the picture clouding egos, I am hoping that the business BS will be kept to a minimum especially if the gigs stay this epic and well received which will always bond a band together.
Apex Twin has it all beautifully written out right above me. Everybody is winning, nobody's getting marginalized, laughed at, degraded or smeared and there's a TON of cash in there too. These guys could end up as happy as the Foo Fighters if things keep going the way they are!

That's interesting - but what do you mean by "go forward" exactly.
Slash's take was that Axl wasn't interested in the snakepit demos - while Axl seems to think he was but Slash wouldn't allow him the time to work on them.
However I've read Duff say that Axl rejected everything from anyone for a period of years.
Was Slash refusing to go forward meaning he didn't want to work on Synth type tracks?
My recollection was that Axl hadn't offered anything for the guys to work on. He was taking in material and rejecting most of it but stating that he saw several riffs as "songs" which perplexed Slash somewhat. Nothing came from his side as far as I know.
Also to counter MSL's outsider version of how things went down in the song writing arena. Have a listen to Duff talk about the process 3:30 onwards

Izzy opened up a Twitter, Will has proof.
On the fence on all things Guns, as ever.In other news, many people question the account.
Arguments include, not following Axl/Slash/Duff.That's pretty much it.
Perfect!
Thanks AT.

Cheers!
#25 Re: Guns N' Roses » DJ ASHBA Hopes STEVEN ADLER And IZZY STRADLIN Will Be Part Of GUNS N' » 487 weeks ago
How many times is Ashba gonna weigh in on the reunion? Probably until it stops trending....
According to Alternative Nation, there is an "oversight management committee" handling GN'R's affair, with Slash, Axl and Duff each having a representative and a fourth person representing the other members.
Jesus Christ...
Its the damn UN. Can I guess which representative has "veto power"?
Its shocking isn't it? I really though Duff would call a big "fuck that shit" to this nonsense and demand that the original guys get in a room and reach workable solutions together.
Now we have yet more talking heads whose job it is to get as much as they can for their employer.
This will not end well unless those people are skilled, considerate negotiators...oh wait Team Brazil will be hissing and spitting for Axl..I predict at least one shit storm..

Nope. I'm one of those fans who sacrasms.
Axl has a history of stage fright - fact.
This has led to insane shit with gigs starting hours late or not at all - fact.
It has caused the injury of fans and employees with the violence that has ensued - fact.
Axl has had voice troubles in recent times- fact.
If he is worried about that while now finding himself back under the same level of public attention as the UYI days he could have a meltdown - pure conjecture but not unfounded.I hope the guy nails the fuck out of it and slays the critics.
Slash is not "my boy" , he's a guitar player I particularly admire - nothing more.Your thinking is yesterday's news, tired, done to death and boring. I wish all of these guys the very best. I want them to destroy every other act out there right now.
Regarding the guitar playing on CD, most of it is pretty standard with a few wanky finger tricks on the guitar that 99.9999999% of the world won't even register as missing.
Give me a soulful Slash solo anyday.Cool
fair enough Lomax, sarcasm lost in translation..my bad..cheers

I just hope Axl can face the level of expectation and overcome any bullshit stage fright and just get out there and enjoy this..So. What you are saying is this:
"It's good the civil war has stopped. Now excuse me while a take a few shots."Axl will bring it. I just hope your boy slash can up his game to Chinese Democracy level playing.

#28 Re: Guns N' Roses » Why the Guns 'N Roses Reunion Is a Mistake » 489 weeks ago
That article made alot of assumptions. maybe they are all delighted to be back together and are ready to deliver a great show...
I wish ta fuck that Axl would rehearse though, he needs to exercise that throat... if he dials this in I'm going to give up on him completely. If he won't rise back up for this run then its over for me.
#29 Re: Guns N' Roses » Just say no to corporate cash grabs » 490 weeks ago
I think Niven has it right, you don't know how essential Izzy is until you hear the other guy's material without him in there.
#30 Re: Guns N' Roses » Looks like rehearsals have started! » 490 weeks ago
I wonder if the perfect GNR album that Slash talked about writing with Duff and Izzy all those years ago will be dusted off for Axl to work on?
