I seriously didn't plan on or expect the overwhelmingly positive response and public support for my decision regarding the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. With such a generous outpouring of solidarity from fans, media outlets, writers and other artists, I'm truly humbled, blown away and unbelievably relieved!

What the hell is he talking about? He's being ripped by the fans.

well, in general a negative person will complain in the easiest way possible.
someone with an attempt to reach out to axl in this situation may pick up the phone or send an email or message via website, etc. you wouldn't hear about those. the supporters may also go unnoticed because everyone is a hard ass online. having said that, i am sure the overwhelming majority stance is the obvious one.

after watching clips from RRHOF. I agree 100% with a comment posted on youtube.

"This event has served to show the world a couple of things:
• How bad Axl has become as a performer
• How bad his "Guns N' Roses" band is in front of these guys
• How disrespectful for the fans and egomaniac Axl is, when he must have been there and at least say "thank you for make me a millionaire with the music this lineup created".
• That this guys are simply irreplaceable.
• What a good frontman and vocalist Myles is. Superb!"

yes, i too disagree with just about all of this....if axl was so inept as a performer and so helpless without the old band people on the boards and online adn at the rrhof performance wouldn't be so upset with him.

i agree that the original lineup is where it's at but not just for axl for slash, and duff, etc.

both sides can be relatively successful without each other but magic can only happen together.

myles can't hold a flame to axl as a front man or vocalist.

axl wouldn't keep touring with the same and consistent level of sales......

if he was breaking even.

all that might be true but axl is 50 now and the definition of rock n roll has changed with the times. to me, regardless of your definition of what rock n roll is, it is nothing without the music. axl can play by his own rules all he wants but increasingly less and less people are gonna respect that behavior as he gets older and less relevant as an artist........not for those reasons by themselves but for why those reasons exist which is the fact that axl is not releasing a substantial amount of music.

maybe this random thought has already been posed among the legion of novel and not so novel esque posts since axl's letter...............

sorta conpiracy theory like but at minimal level and on a low scale:

in regards to izzy

any chance izzy, when he told sash he wasn't attending I wonder if he already knew axl wasn't going to be there and that is atleast a part of his reason. that would mean that axl knew for some time that he wasn't attending before announcing it.
