#271 Re: The Garden » Counselling » 985 weeks ago
I am having to pop pills in the meantime as it takes so flipping long to get an appointment with a counsellor. At least we don't have to pay in the UK though :-\ For some reason I am shitting myself about talking to someone but at least it seems to be something that helps.
#272 Re: The Sunset Strip » Classical Music (Bach, Beethoven et al) » 985 weeks ago
I love classical music but I'm far from an expert on it. I've bought several collections, they're always pretty cheap. Some pieces I love are:
Romeo and Juliet - Prokofiev
Bolero - Ravel
The hall of the mountain king from peer gynt - Grieg
Carmina burana - Orff
And others that i can hear the music to, but not think of the names. I will post again when my brain starts working.

I'm just curious to know if any of you have ever undergone any sort of counselling before and more importantly, did you find it helpful?

I have BOOH 1 & 2 but I've never actually listened to 2. 1 is great for singing along with, especially 'You took the words right out of my mouth'. I love the Rocky Horror Show and have a soft spot for him because he was Eddy in that. His song from RHS 'Whatever happened to saturday night' is good too.

It really does frighten me that there are people out there psycho enough to sexually assault and stab a woman 39 times in broad daylight in front of her 2 year old. I really hope he has no memories of the attack.

Lol, tatters! That means potatoes round here.
Russ, how old is your boy? He looks a sweetie
DTJ: Thanks! He's looks like me except I've got green eyes and he got his grandpa's blue eyes. He's definitely got the advantage, lol.
lll: He's 22 months now but already living up to the Terrible Two's moniker so he's not so "Sweet" right now, lol.
Lol, my boy is 25 months, I can relate believe me!

It's just a normal ass really, nothing particularly horrific about it. But yeah, I'm surprised it's JLH.
#278 Re: The Sunset Strip » Britney has secret sex room » 986 weeks ago
Just because someone likes to have a bit of fun with sex is nothing to do with having the kids for Christmas or not, I don't really see why they've brought that into it. If it's double locked then they can't get in there. The shitty sofas are another matter altogether
Not that I'd ever let Brits baby sit for me for even a minute.

As 41-year-old Robert Napper faces a charge of murdering Rachel Nickell, we look back on a case which shocked the nation in 1992.
It was a frenzied attack, carried out in daylight on Wimbledon Common, an area popular with dog walkers and families.
The murder took place in front of Rachel's two-year-old son, Alex.
It was reported that he was found standing by her body, repeating the words "Wake up mummy".
There were no other witnesses and, without the extensive use of closed-circuit TV, so commonplace nowadays, police struggled to find evidence to link anyone to the crime.
However, a local man named Colin Stagg soon came under suspicion.
A loner, he enjoyed bodybuilding and walked his dog on the common. Eventually he was charged.
'Deceptive conduct'
But his trial in 1994 was dramatically halted when an Old Bailey judge condemned an attempt by a female undercover policewoman to catch Mr Stagg in a so-called "honey trap".
The officer, using the alias Lizzie James, had tried and failed - in letters and meetings - to get him to confess.
Mr Justice Ognall said it was a "blatant attempt to incriminate a suspect by positive and deceptive conduct of the grossest kind".
The criticism of the operation, which was drawn up in consultation with a criminal profiling expert, was arguably one of the lowest points in the Metropolitan Police's recent history.
Mr Stagg, who spent 13 months in custody, always maintained his innocence in the teeth of hostility from sections of the press and public.
He later passed a lie detector test and has been told that he is entitled to compensation from the government.
With the latest developments indicating that police have a different suspect in their sights, Mr Stagg may also claim damages against them for their role in this tragic case.
