The cliche bimbo groupie - nice shirt!
It's amazing how many celebs or TV personalities you see wearing "vintage" band t's these days (even ones like this that aren't vintage at all).
I wonder if she can even name a GN'R song (or count to two for that matter).
Edit:
Actually you may wanna move this thread the the Hollywood Boulevard section - only just noticed that existed.

I have a reasonably quality download of it if anyone still wants it.

Sounds interesting to me - worth a try

you just have to take it for what it is - a site to support Guns N' Roses. Its not a Velvet Revolver fan site. Jus like I wouldn't go to VelvetRevolverForum.Com everyday to tell them how bad I think Scott is with VR and how much those guys need Axl. I really appreciate Jarmo's position on that whole thing over there.. because you have a huge site like MyGnR which is pretty much a Axl hatefest/Slash temple.
Yeah true - HTGTH and mygnr are the ying and yang of the GN'R world.
You know what you are going to get with each site and as you say - take it for what it is.

[whether people like it or not, they are the only online community to get real recognition from Axl/GnR.
I wouldn't say they have had recognition as such from Axl/GNR - I would call it more a business decision by Axl. From where I sit it appears that there is some business arrangement in place where GN'R probably fund some or all of the site. I would imagine there are also other "back scratching" arrangements in place too. In return the GN'R camp have got themselves a large propoganda tool for the band.
[
I can see why people who just want to worship slash and rag on axl constantly might not like it.
That's the other bit I don't understand when people objectively want to question something done by Axl or the new band, they are met with that response - Axl haters aren't welcome here...it's not 1987 still etc type of attitude.
Personally I like both the new band and old. I paid a lot of money this year to see 3 concerts of the current lineup, including flying my girlfried and I over to the east coast of Oz to catch 2 extra shows. I also like the old band members too and I hope to do the same to see VR early next year.
I also recognise that both the old band members/VR and the way the current incarnation of GN'R is being run isn't perfect. I think it will be some sort of update.
If they are going to release CD or even tour again there is no way they could tour without some sort of update. I think they have worn their welcome out and used up a lot of goodwill from touring in anticipation of the album already.
Yes they could probably tour again with no update but I would imagine ticket sales would be hammered and it will probably antagonise a lot of the fan base, if they dont give any further news to accompany it.
If on the other hand CD is still a long way from dropping I think the silence will be deafening!

My problem with HTGTH is the censorship and blind worship of Axl and the new lineup (no I'm not a new GN'R hater either I just like objective discussion). If you wish to discuss or query something that doesn't appear to fit with the general view of the site then they jump all over it, accuse people of not being a real GN'R fan and or delete your thread/post.
It's a difficult situation because I know you need a certain level of moderation. Take mygnr for example that seems to be the complete opposite of HTGTH. That place is in dire need of some further moderation/deleting of threads/posts. I have tried posting there but IMHO there seems to be so many posts made presumably by kids about pathetic topics, thrown in with a tonne of whingeing and bitching about Axl and CD that it's really not much of a "fansite" at times.
Hopefully there is a happy medium that can be found (hint hint GNRevolution - that's why I'm giving this place a try).

The album may be finished, you say. Damn straight, could be. Last we heard was in 02/22, when Del James descended from the mountain where the fire hasn't ceased to burn in well over a decade. Recording was completed, and the band had begun the mixing process. Baz had integrated himself into the recordings seamlessly and will have his presence felt. In other words, Axl heard him sing a chorus for Sorry after putting out his open letter and realized he could chalk it under those minor additions.
I think that they really were planning on having CD out before 2007 was over.
When the band were on Oz and I met a few of them at their hotel while my mate and I were sitting in the lobby drinking for half the night, we were chatting to Axl's 2 limo drivers to pass the time.
Anyhow, they didn't really know a lot about GN'R and as far as they were concerned it was just another job. We were trying to pump them for a bit of info and we were also trying to wind them up by saying that next time Axl is in the car with them they should ask him when Chinese Democracy is coming out (they had no idea about CD). Unfortunately we couldn't keep a straight face and started laughing then one of them clicked and said - I think I was told by someone that's the one question I shouldn't ask.
Anyhow, we asked if they had mentioned it in conversations at all. One of them said that on one occasion Del was in the car and chatting to them about it and he mentioned that they hoped to have a single out in September (in hindsight a wise person may have asked - September of which year). But still, I found that interesting since the limo guys had no knowledge or interest in GN'R so I doubt they would have been fed bullshit just for the hell of it, since the info was unlikely to go anywhere.
But obviously that date has been and gone and who knows what happend. But it leads me to believe that at least it appeared even while they were doing the Japan/Oz/NZ etc tour they still hoped to have the album out shortly after that.

Hey I'm Marcus - a long time GN'R fan down in Australia.
Been a poster on HTGTH and Mygnr under the username williambailey for sometime, but I'm not entirely happy with those forums at times so I'm here to try an alternative.
Oh yeah - I'm a sucker for collecting GN'R stuff too. My girlfriend threatens to leave me "If you bring one more piece of Guns N' Roses shit into this house....." - I just sneak it in now
But in fairness to her, she does have to live with a GN'R decor theme in the house of awards, plaques, concert posters, promo items, pinball machine etc scattered everywhere.
