Well that's killed my interest in the band if it's true.

As much as I love Zakk, it's Randy for me, he was the first and greatest.
#253 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy Elimination- Round 6 » 884 weeks ago
I voted Madagascar, its one of my least favorite leaks. It's just so bloated and over the top, especially with the quotes but also all the various parts and instruments seem to get in the way. The melody is alright, but a stripped-down version sure would be a lot better.
#254 Re: Guns N' Roses » "Shackler" mp3 featuring Buckethead and Bootsy Collins » 885 weeks ago
Thanks dude...cool track, very heavy but quite slow...a bit like how Bach described Sorry. I guess Shackler's revenge is going to be a sequel rather than a remake, but who knows?

Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill
Metallica - Master of Puppets
The Cult - The Cult
I'm not too keen on the original GnR cover.

#257 Re: The Garden » Read any good books lately? » 892 weeks ago
I was reading Blowing Up Russia, by Alexander Litvenyenko. It's pretty scary stuff about how the secret services cn get out of control, I recommend it for all those interested in politics in any way!. The fact that the author was assassinated pretty much confirms what the book says is true.
#258 Re: Guns N' Roses » finally a decent straight forward comment regarding CD » 893 weeks ago
Remember that the 13 million has already been spent, so any money got back from sales is a good thing, even if it is a loss overall. At least, for the record label, who I would think would want to release it as soon as they can, just to get back something. Axl may have other ideas of course.
#259 Re: The Sunset Strip » Post your favourite song lyrics » 893 weeks ago
'd rather be a sparrow than a snail.
Yes I would.
If I could,
I surely would.
I'd rather be a hammer than a nail.
Yes I would.
If I only could,
I surely would.
Away, I'd rather sail away
Like a swan that's here and gone
A man gets tied up to the ground
He gives the world
Its saddest sound
I feel bad for posting Simon and Garfunkel lyrics on a Guns n Roses forum!

I get the impression its deja vu all over again! I refuse to get excited until the label says something at the very least. Surely the negotiations wouldn't take months?
