Actually, the more I think about it, the more fake it seems. Why would some marketing guy from a game know that stuff? Sure, they have connections to MTV, but they're not that close, its just publishing and rights.

Anyway, didn't Kiss once release 4 albums at once a long time ago? I believe they flopped.

It doubt they have to tie it in with the Olympics specifically, in fact I think that might be a bad thing (it could be seen as a cynical publicity move). Just releasing it in the general timeframe of the Olympics would do the trick though - I'm sure that would pick up some press.

Yeah. It was singled out and it got some cheers from the audience. Though the conference was pretty fucking boring up til then.
And after...I've got a 360 and it was pretty dire.
I'd like to echo the general excitement at the news as well though...:buckethead::rock:

and that's all they are gonna get for now. it's alot that the song got mentioned. things are looking good for them so far. how many other songs/bands got mentioned in every press release/ article?
Only big ones, like AC/DC (its the first time they've been in a game). Although they didn't talk much it got quite a big focus compared to the other stuff. Seems like it's a big deal even outside of GnR land!

They're talking about it now at Microsoft's press conference...calling Shackler's Revenge the first release from the album.

Wow, it really looks like something is actually happening for once. Of course, i'm not getting my hopes up too much, but it'll be great if it does come out this year.
