#231 Re: The Sunset Strip » Best Band BLS vs Monkey » 727 weeks ago

i went with bls because i think they look like they'd be solid together.

i don't think axl and dave would sound great together. actually, i think axl is the one who doesn't fit. it's pretty hard to put axl in a line-up where he could blend with others, but maybe that's just me,

basically, i wanted my band to be comprised of people who could put on a fun rock show that i would like to attend on a nice evening out.

songwriting-wise i think i have a great group of people with freddie mercury, tori amos and izzy; also i think tom morello and les claypool can bring some funk and jazz into this line-up, which would go well with all the others in the line-up.

technique-wise i think tom and les claypool are awesome at their respective instruments and that could make a good base for writing melodies. maybe travis is not the greatest drummer out there but i picked him because he puts on a show behind the drums.

as far as lyrics go i think freddie and tori can stand against anyone that's put against them.

in conclusion, like i said, i think it's a fun band with people who have great stage presence and are entertaining on their own too, not just as a part of a band.

thanks for reading and for voting, no matter what band you choose.

if it's an .exe it's not good as far as i know.

it has to be an extension like .torrent

like monkey said, you need to install a torrent program (i use Utorrent), then you go to a site that hosts the .torrent file and when you download that you choose 'open with - Utorrent' and it should work.

i'm at work for the moment but if you can't figure it out post here and when i get home i can give you more details.

p.s. i don't download illegally 16

Good choice! No hard feelings man? 19 I'm just a fan of Phil's drumming style as well as his voice and songwriting! In The Air Tonight drum break..nuff said! 5

nah, no problem. i was going for a 'fun' band and phil seemed a nice choice but travis was my second option so it's all good 16

As for the vapour trails, we're talking about a man flying through the air, which is far fetched to begin with. I just thought the sonic boom things were a really cool effect.

Yes I'm fully aware that we're talking about a man who flys but again he's not a man. The fact they toss in an effect that suggests he has an engine propelling him is pretty goofey. Yes I get it's not realistic to begin with but when things like that are added it's a pet peeve of mine. Like watching Star Wars and having Jedi's fall hundreds of feet and bounce back up like it's no big deal. Or watching a  stupid Michael Bay action scene. At some point the fantasy crosses a line and I start to roll my eyes. When I saw the vapor trail I rolled my eyes cause Superman doesn't produce exhaust 16  But I do like the sonic boom. That part is cool.
