Hackers.  The 1995 film w/Jolie and Johnny Lee Miller I found really corny and cheesy, and really dated.  I'd seen it once before and found this on ok.  But on this viewing it just grated on me.  I think the fact that all the characters are in HS made it worse.  You just have a lot of those teen type corny jokes that just made it worse for me.  Some of the acting was pretty off too.  The only good thing was the soundtrack.  This is one film I'm not going to revisit any time soon.

Years ago....it was my completely shot hearing that caused me to have to cherry pick who I was willing to see.

Now...it's my body starting to break down. Not walking with a cane yet...but within 5-10 years I probably will be.

Happened to my uncle in his 50s on my dad's side...and I took more dope than he ever did.

Yeah, I got some of the same problems.  And to be honest, you get tired a whole fucking shit ton faster in general.  I got the ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and that pretty much sucks.  It's kind of hard to explain but yeah the body and mind aren't willing /motivated to do things now as in before (younger self).

Also joint pain sucks, especially if it's near your hips and shit.

You guys are asking for a Christmas miracle.   I'd find Santa Claus before GNR functions as a well run and normal band.  Ain't gonna happen.  When they release new music (this I believe) it will be haphazzard and out of the blue.

Wouldn't a better question be...what movie did Roberts do that was so great...besides Erin Brockovich?  16

I don't even think Brockovich is that great.  I remember Finney (or whomever played the lawyer) more than Roberts lead role.

The House on Sorority Row (original).  Not bad at all.  It's got that late 70s-early 80s feel that I like. The story is done pretty well and there are some interesting kills.  The only thing that is a drawback is that the acting wasn't particularly great.  But it's still pretty good.

Every time I watch it I'm flabbergasted how they sat on this for 3 decades. I understand why they didn't release it in 92-93...it's not promoting the 92-93 lineup.

It should've come out in 99 instead of Live Era.  This is all the "live era" we needed anyway.

Funny you should mention Live Era.  I was thinking about that and  how half assed the job was on those discs and what a waste of money it was (I bought it when it came out) when compared to the Ritz and Vegas live shows that they included on the Illusions.

It's mind blowing how young Cruise looks here.... like a college student. This dude probably never smoked, drank, or did drugs. If so...only recreationally.

Cruise should be a textbook case on how to suceed and stay relevant in modern Hollywood for decades.  You don't have to like him to appreciate his longevity and success.  Relative few bombs and also guranteed blockbusters/films that make money.

Diabolique:  1996 film w/Sharon Stone and Chazz Palmeintieri.  Remake of a 50s French film.  Not bad but the ending was not believable and they should have sticked with the one from the original film that made more sense.  Stone is in fine form as a bitch here (for lack of a better term).

I think you kind of nailed it.  They go half something on these sets.  It's like one part of it "functions" correctly (Ritz bluray, remixed NR etc) and the other part is TOTALLY brain dead (high MSRP, no demos).

It's frustrating and funny at some time at their incompetence even on basic stuff like pricing.

Agreed on Fields.  If he pans out for the Bears they have a great building block for the future.  They've needed a legit QB for decades.

Boy, did the Bills spiral downward pretty quickly the last couple of weeks.  Brutal loss to the Vikes.  I don't think I've ever seen a kneel down attempt end in a TD for the other team.  That and the ill advised shot towards the end zone in OT.

The Raiders suck.  Either McDaniels is a horrible HC (this might be the case, I think he's like 7-24 in his last 31 games as a head coach), they have awful team construction, and Carr isn't really a good qb.  It's probably a combo of the 3.  He should have probably never left NE.  I know it's easy to say .  And personally I wouldn't have spent all that money on Adams and Chandler Jones but that's me.

Speaking of bad horror films:

Mother of Tears .  The final in Argento's trilogy turns out to be a dud.  Even the plotline of the world gone amuck isn't that interesting.  Oh what really bugged me at times was that Argento staged gruesome and crass kills.  I think he was trying to gloss over the fact that the story is pretty much shit.  The acting is kind of awful (probably the script again) and the film goes off the rails in the last 40 mins.

Busting: gritty 1970s cop film starring Eliot Gould and Robert Blake.  Very gritty and lots of neon lit scenes.  I personally enjoyed the chase scene through the market a lot.  It's got that general theme of how people, even cops, are generally powerless against those in power.  Surprised it isn't a bit more well known.

LOL Trump will not go away.  You'll have to offer him something for him to beat it.

Looks like the Dems will retain control of the Senate as both NV and ARZ will remain Democratic seats.
