#11 Re: Guns N' Roses » LARS ULRICH Holding Up Release of GNR 'Better' Video? » 859 weeks ago
Well Better and Chinese Democracy had increased spins on the Mainstream Rock Chart. Better moved up to #15 from #18, and CD held firm at #8. In the drop down window, select "Mainstream Rock".
Media Base tells a different story. Better is not really picking up (#19) and Chinese Democracy is out of the top 20:

The Best Buy deal got them what they wanted. Anything else is gravy......Best Buy is the one who needs to be worried because it was a one way deal.:nervous:
That probably plays a big role in the band(and label) seeming to not give a shit about this. They already cashed their checks so the label sinking money into it or GNR promoting it themselves just isn't a priority for them.
But don't forget that the Best Buy exclusive is only in the USA...
Axl and Universal probably made a good deal with BB, but is that enough to amortize a $14 million album ?
I doubt it.

A band like AC/DC had an exclusive too, but they didn't wash their hands. Axl's attitude is a bit odd.

This document is fake, for obvious reasons.
#15 Re: Guns N' Roses » Rumor: Axl and Slash at same hotel in NYC? » 896 weeks ago
This story is legit. Axl and Slash met and talked to each other.
The only problem is that we don't know what was said.
#16 Re: Guns N' Roses » Robin back in NIN. Temp or not is the question? » 898 weeks ago
if it did, i would seriously delete every account on every GnR forum. it would be absolute bullshit, and thats why I know its not gonna happen.
Well I'm definitely with you on that one.
You definitely won't be missed.
Good riddance if fakegnr fans leave and just fuck off.

This whole thing is too complex to be solved within a few weeks.
Get real. It's not rocket science, it's only a rock album.

and the energy and vibe he brings on stage is irreplacable.
Everybody is replaceable in this band.

This album will put him on the map as an amazing guitar player. It will solidify these guys reputations as amazing musicians. BH will gain more fame and recognition from it, same with every other player in the band, who until this point, all of them are relatively unknown in the mainstream eye except Axl. I can't see any of them bailing.
Dream on. Not gonna happen.

Currently, one can assume Robin will do the first leg, which runs from late July to early September. It's April now and it takes 2-3 months to properly set up an album release. Since no announcement has been made (as I'd expect one would be made fairly soon), Axl and Universal are still in talks. This means CD is in mid-June/mid-July territory at the earliest. A silly moment for Robin to walk away from a decade's work unless he'd gotten the OK.
I understand that you want to remain positive and maybe you are right. But it is doubtful that Reznor would hire Finck for just one leg of a world tour.
Obviously at this point it's all about speculation, that's why NIN fans are already hoping that NIN with Finck will play in Europe in 2009...
