So these leaks are clearly old, locker era songs.
Hoarders keep them really tight, the brings the question of what other things are in the vault.
Slash is clearly on monsters

If this is monstrosity, then I would bet that promo disc for it from back in the early 2010s is real. And handed out at that Vienna after-party, meaning a bumblefoot/ashba version probably exists. Also the general is great and everyone shitting on it clearly needs their ears cleaned. Best birthday ever

The closer we get to release day without this thing leaking the more I'm inclined to think they could be behind on it being pressed in the first place.
we should know in 11 days either way. I have never purchased from there site directly before. I assume you get a "Your item has been dispatched" email or something?
its 2023, nobodys swiping a record off an assembly line or out of a truck to rip and put online. JUST LIKE the last releases, it'll get ripped when someone receives it in the mail either the weekend of or the following week.

If this is on a 7" single, then the song is going to be 4-6 minutes max, right?
Confirmed then, that The General is an "Epic" in a figurative sense only.
longest ever released 7in single is just over 10 minutes. 5-6 is the standard but if you drop the fidelity you can cram around 10min on one side

Anybody hear this on actual Radio?
Are these Re-re-recordings even good enough quality for radio?
My local active rock has it in heavy heavy rotation still. Hear it like 3-6 times a day depending on how often I'm listening.
#16 Re: Guns N' Roses » Atlas Shrugged (2023 ) - Rumour » 95 weeks ago
This is the video about Atlas that Danni mentioned in the General thread. The one with a comment from Rick about State Of Grace as a Bside
The source is Hasitleaked which we know already. If Ricks comment was a joke I dont see any reason to get too exited or anything. If Hasitleaked is semi legit thats great but untill we hear something from a credible second soure then it's just people repeating what we have already heard.
I wouldn't be surprised if Rick *was* hasitleakeds source

Wait...what?
Are you insinuating they might have cannibalized The General to create the title track intro?
No, Included bits of it or made an intro sounding similar to as foreshadowing
#18 Re: Guns N' Roses » The General confirmed next » 95 weeks ago
I think it is the general and I don't think it was the intro to the 2006 tour, but instead more of the Chinese democracy intro("you've heard it before"). My hunch is that the general was meant to be the opening song to the 2nd or 3rd disc, or the outro of the trilogy.

This week's theme:
"You Hoard ,You Lose"
F'n Hoarders ,
look at GNR cashing in on The General'
Malibu , pulling That Money, right out the Hoarders pockets lol ; )
the thing about hoarding the general is that it will hold its value. everyones all "lol horders its worthless now".. the fact is the buckethead and/or bumblefoot versions that were recorded a decade plus ago might sound completely different to what we get, and to the right people will still be valuable.

7" Records (often referred to as 45's) can be cut at 45 RPM or 33 1/3 RPM. When cut at 33 1/3 you can hold approximately 6:00 minutes per side. When cut at 45 you can hold approximately 4:30 minutes per side. These numbers are not set in stone, just a suggested maximum. Going over these suggestions can result in a loss of sound quality. https://www.urpressing.com/7-inch/
That means The General is probably under 6 min.
November Rain was obviously a big hit single and released on vinyl around the world back in 1992. It's an 8 minute and 53 second song, but was released as 45rpm in most markets. A few released it in 33 1/3rpm.
I believe the US, UK, Germany and France were 45rpm and Spain and Australia were 33 1/3rpm.
If the general is over 6min long I'm sure the vinyl version will be a radio edit or something with a truncated intro. I mean judging by the old show intro that alone takes up 2ish minutes. If the full intro survived release, I'm sure it'll have it on streaming.
